The Battle is Underway in Georgia as Early Voting Begins
Listen tothis article
Today marks the beginning of early voting in Georgia, a key battleground state that could impact one of the most consequential elections in decades. The latest polls indicate a closing gap between President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris – including notable shifts in favor of Trump in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. But do polls accurately reflect outcomes? In 2016 and 2020, the polls repeatedly far underestimated the support seen for Trump on election day.
As polls shift with a seemingly waning excitement for the Harris-Walz campaign, another large group has decided not to endorse either candidate. We reported how the International Brotherhood of Teamsters broke a decades-long tradition of presidential endorsements, choosing not to endorse Harris or Trump. Now the Arab American PAC in Michigan revealed they will not endorse either presidential candidate because of the candidates’ support of Israel.
The Biden-Harris Administration may support Israel in word, but it’s failed to support Israel in its foreign policy. And the vitriol coming from the far Left persists. ‘Squad’ member Rashida Tlaib’s recent X post attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Genocidal maniac Netanyahu is burning Palestinians alive, bombing hospitals, starving people, and killing aid workers.” Jeff Ballabon, ACLJ Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs, joined us with his reaction.
When the Left uses phrases like genocidal or violence et cetera, they’re always projecting what they actually want and actually are engaging in. So, Rashida Tlaib, she wants a genocide of the Jews. . . . Israel is doing all it can, including sacrificing its old soldiers to minimize the non-combatant deaths as they always have.
All of this now is not about Israel at all, and it never was. It is about Jew hatred, which has been with us for thousands and thousands of years. The Bible talks about it. It will always be there, ok. But now, as it has happened in many empires and cultures before, it’s becoming normalized and that’s what’s so dangerous for our culture, for our country.
While Israel faces unrelenting attacks, the ACLJ remains unwavering in its support of our ally. That’s why we’re mobilizing our office in Jerusalem to defend Israel’s interests on the global stage. And we’re taking aggressive legal action at the U.N., before the ICC, on Capitol Hill, and with world leaders, defending Israel’s legitimacy and right to defend itself in cases across the U.S.
We also have an update in our whistleblower case. As you know, we are representing FBI Special Agent Garret O’Boyle, who bravely testified before Congress about Deep State corruption within the agency to target pro-lifers, even marking pro-lifers with threat tags like terrorists.
The Biden-Harris Administration has since made Agent O’Boyle’s life a nightmare, bringing down the full force of malicious Deep State retribution against him for standing up for the truth and exposing the rampant corruption and political bias infecting our federal government.
Today we were in federal appeals court on behalf of Agent O’Boyle. ACLJ Senior Counsel for Litigation and Public Policy Ben Sisney joined us from just outside the courthouse with the latest in the case.
The whole point of this is to get him [O’Boyle] his day in court to where his constitutional argument can be heard. There [are] some challenges – I won’t go too far into some of the statutory issues. But the jurisprudence in the case law makes pretty clear in our view that he ought to be able to have his constitutional claim heard by an Article Three Court. That’s what we are at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit asking for and arguing for today.
These are real Americans who really . . . all of our clients are heroes in some way. And here in this particular case, Garret, his wife, what they’ve gone through, and the sacrifices they made based on their convictions and beliefs, is humbling.
Despite these types of cases taking years, our ACLJ legal team remains in the fight to expose government corruption. We do this at no cost to our clients, as we walk alongside people like Agent O’Boyle, whose livelihood has been stripped for over two years. And we can only do this because of supporters and ACLJ Champions who give monthly to support this pivotal work.
