Yesterday President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that former Fox News commentator Dan Bongino will serve as Kash Patel’s Deputy FBI Director. Bongino spoke about his new position on his podcast, The Dan Bongino Show, this morning:

The vision of President Trump, Attorney General Bondi, and Director Patel. I’m gonna do my job to implement that vision, and I can tell you right now, we are gonna try our best. Every single thing I have in me, every single strand of DNA cell in my body, is gonna be dedicated toward keeping this homeland safe no matter what. No matter what – that’s my job. We’re going to reestablish faith in this institution. The good people there doing their job, hitting the streets, developing sources. We’ll have your back. We are gonna reestablish faith in this institution. The FBI belongs to the American people, doesn’t belong to me, doesn’t belong to anyone else but the American people. But this is the honor of a lifetime. And it’s a serious mission. And I plan on implementing that vision.

The role of Deputy FBI Director doesn’t have to be confirmed by the Senate, so Bongino can start as soon as he wants. His final show will be on Friday. How long will it take Patel and Bongino to purge the Deep State DOJ?

Of course, the reaction from the media has been as expected: How dare President Trump pick a right-wing podcaster to be Deputy FBI Director! Of course, the media is only focusing on Bongino’s most recent career and not his extensive experience in law enforcement and the Secret Service.

Patel highlighted Bongino’s experience on X:

Tremendous news for law enforcement and the future of American justice! I am proud to welcome Dan Bongino as the next Deputy Director of the FBI—a warrior and lifelong public servant. Dan has dedicated his career to protecting this country, beginning with his time in the NYPD, where he served in one of the toughest precincts, the 75th, before spending more than a decade as a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service. His leadership, integrity, and deep commitment to justice make him the ideal choice to help lead the FBI at this critical time. He’s a cop’s cop.

Also, let’s not gloss over the fact that Bongino is stepping away from one of the biggest podcasts in the country. He doesn’t need the money. He doesn’t have to accept a job in the Trump Administration unless he truly wants to effect change in the DOJ. He is putting service to the country above comfort.

Trust and integrity must be restored to the Judicial Department. For the past several years, the ACLJ has fought against myriad forms of unlawful FBI targeting against Christians, conservatives, and FBI whistleblowers who exposed the Deep State FBI’s corruption.

ACLJ Senior Counsel and Director of Policy Harry Hutchison elaborated further:

Virtually everyone who’s been alive for the last seven to eight years, perhaps even 10 years, realizes that the FBI has not operated as an evenhanded organization. It has basically put its thumb on the scale with respect to particular targets. Keep in mind that the investigations targeting Donald Trump actually commenced in 2015. We had the operation Hurricane Crossfire, which was initiated by the FBI. We had Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, and other individuals who were involved arguably in a conspiracy to prevent Donald Trump from assuming office in 2016, and it almost worked. So, what we have seen over the last couple of days is absolutely fabulous news for the American people who are interested in the rule of law.

Patel and Bongino have a big task ahead because the Deep State is still fully entrenched in the DOJ. Just look at the recent FBI leaks that tipped off ICE raids. In conjunction with the new FBI leadership, the ACLJ will ensure that the FBI lawfully follows the Constitution in the days ahead.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of Don Bongino’s appointment as Deputy FBI Director. ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy Ric Grenell reacted to the New York Times shaming him for planning to celebrate Jesus’ birth during Christmas time at the Kennedy Center.
