Trump Admin Launches Moms.gov To Equip Moms To Choose Life

This past Mother’s Day, as our nation honored the immeasurable love, sacrifice, and strength of mothers, the Trump Administration launched a powerful new resource: Moms.gov. This timely initiative sends a clear message – that every woman facing pregnancy, especially an unexpected one, deserves genuine support to choose life and thrive as a mother.

At the ACLJ, we have spent decades in the courts defending the sanctity of life, the rights of women, and the vital work of Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs) that serve them. We understand that fear and uncertainty can accompany a positive pregnancy test. For too long, the dominant narrative in our culture has pushed abortion as the default solution while downplaying the incredible power, strength, and resilience women possess to embrace motherhood – even in difficult circumstances. True empowerment does not diminish women; it equips them with the support they need to rise to the challenge of bringing new life into the world.

The new platform, hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, connects women directly to life-affirming support across the country. At its heart is a user-friendly tool to locate PRCs near you. These centers – more than 2,750 strong – offer free or low-cost services including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education, material assistance like diapers and baby clothes, and ongoing emotional support. Many also provide STI testing, childbirth classes, and medical referrals.

They walk with women through every step – from confirming a pregnancy and seeing that first heartbeat to navigating the joys and challenges of early parenting. They embody compassionate, holistic care rooted in the belief that both mother and baby matter.

Launched on Mother’s Day, the timing of Moms.gov is especially meaningful. It honors the mothers who said yes to life amid difficult circumstances. It celebrates the quiet strength and remarkable resilience of women who choose motherhood against cultural pressure. And it equips them with the tools they need to succeed. The site also covers broader resources – nutrition guidance for pregnant and nursing mothers, information on Federally Qualified Health Centers, mental health support, and more – all designed to foster healthy pregnancies and strong families.
