The Trump DOJ is forging ahead with a probe into the Deep State conspiracy to impeach President Donald Trump via the Russia hoax.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has confirmed his intentions to investigate whether actors, such as former CIA Director John Brennan, are guilty of conspiracy. Could other Deep State operatives soon find themselves facing charges?

As reported by The Wall Street Journal:

An investigation into whether government officials engaged in a conspiracy to undermine President Trump is advancing under newly installed acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Blanche was in Florida on Monday and met with Joe diGenova, a former Trump campaign lawyer he named to lead the probe. It is a shake-up after the career prosecutor who had been running the investigation cited doubts about the strength of a potential criminal case against one of the targets, former Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan. Earlier, Blanche also sent one of his own top aides, Christopher-James DeLorenz, from Washington to Florida, an indication he intends to play a larger role in the sprawling inquiry.

The probe is looking at whether intelligence and law-enforcement officials who investigated Trump committed crimes. While it has largely been unfolding in the Southern District of Florida, it has now widened to include events that took place in Washington, D.C.

The Justice Department in recent days subpoenaed several witnesses to testify before a federal grand jury in the nation’s capital as part of its investigation into whether Brennan lied to Congress about the intelligence community’s assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 election because Moscow hoped to boost Trump’s chances of winning. The inquiry is looking at a deposition Brennan gave to Congress in 2023.

A lawyer for Brennan declined to comment.

Many of us have been frustrated about the Deep State headlines and wondered, Why can’t we get there? Why can’t we see real accountability?

A grand jury was impaneled in South Florida, where they heard evidence about Brennan, who has been accused of pushing forward the Russian narrative even when other individuals in the CIA were telling him, This is not credible. This does not live up to our standards as the CIA. And hereportedly responded, “Yes, but doesn’t it ring true?”

That’s not how the justice system works – we don’t charge people because an accusation sounds plausible.

Now we’ve learned that a grand jury has been impaneled in Washington, D.C., as well, and cooperating witnesses are preparing to give testimony before that grand jury. Former senior intelligence and FBI officials are cooperating with the DOJ on this, which shows the serious nature of this investigation. And the endgame here is accountability.

It’s encouraging to know that your DOJ still cares to follow up on these things and not to sweep them under the rug. Part of the frustration for many of us is that bad actors are out there who think if they can just keep extending this out long enough, or their party can win enough elections, then they’ll never be held accountable. Thus, Blanche’s expansion of the investigation is likely making some people very nervous.

This investigation is specifically related to a deposition given by Brennan to the House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-4), while it was conducting congressional oversight, during which Brennan was still pushing the Russia hoax.

We now have the evidence, which we told you was released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, that shows that the parties involved knew what they were saying wasn’t true, and they were still pushing the bogus claim on the American people. And I can think of only one reason to do that – to stake your career on a false narrative – and that is to bring down a sitting President.

This was a multitiered, all-hands-on-deck Deep State conspiracy. You even had President Obama demanding a new Intelligence Community Assessment as quickly as possible after Trump won the election – something the Left clearly didn’t expect to happen. They thought they’d done sufficient damage to the Trump campaign, assuring Hillary Clinton’s victory. When President Trump won, and they picked their jaws up off the ground, they had to scramble.

Congressman Jordan has said that, in his view, when Brennan testified under oath before the House Judiciary Committee and stated that the CIA had nothing to do with the Steele dossier, he was not telling the truth – and that evidence exists to support that claim.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included more discussion of the investigation into the Deep State’s conspiracy against President Trump. We were also provided with updates by ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs Mike Pompeo on the war with Iran, and we discussed the recent ceremony at the State Department commemorating his historic tenure as Secretary of State.
