"It probably helps him a lot. But it doesn't help the people around him at all. He's done criminal acts; there's no question about it. Obama owes me big."

Those were the words of President Trump when asked if former President Barack Obama will benefit from Presidential Immunity, based on the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling in Trump’s own immunity case. Trump agreed that the ruling could provide legal cover for Obama, despite the bombshell revelations released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

You’ll remember yesterday we told you how Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the DOJ is assembling a “strike force” to investigate the declassified intel that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released linking the Obama Administration to the Russia hoax. President Trump is taking these accusations seriously, which DNI Gabbard called a “treasonous conspiracy,” and he rightly wants anyone involved to be held accountable.

We’ll continue to follow this investigation as it unfolds and continue to keep you updated with any new developments.

We also turned our attention to the Middle East, and our ally Israel, and recent violence in a predominantly Druze and Christian community in Syria. For those not familiar with who the Druze people are, which is likely many, the Druze people are “an ethnoreligious community with deep historical roots in the Middle East, known for their unique faith and strong communal ties. With significant populations in Lebanon, Syria, and Israel, the Druze have played significant roles in regional politics and society.”

The Druze have played an important role in Israel, celebrating deep roots in the Israeli community. Many Druze soldiers have died defending Israel and her interests. Now this small community is under attack from radical Islamists in Syria.

We were joined by Congressman Abe Hamadeh (AZ-8) – the son of Syrian immigrants – to discuss the turbulent situation and explain why it’s imperative for Americans to pay attention to this growing violence in a very critical region of the Middle East and the potential threat of Syria, even to the United States:

Under the Assad Regime . . . they were ruling Syria for 50 years, and for 50 years they were close with the Soviets, and the Russians, and the Iranians, and they were actively at war with Israel at many points in time. So when you have the fall of the Assad regime that happened last December, you know now you had so many of these tribal factions and rebel groups come out of that.

And what we had was this new Syrian president emerged as the leader, and with President Trump’s blessing. He removed the sanctions on them. He removed the terrorist designation. Remember he was listed as a state sponsor of terrorism.

Now that’s all been lifted, so it’s all important because Syria has Mediterranean access. Russia at a time actually had port access over there, so it’s important for Americans to understand that the Middle East is complex, but what occurs there as we’ve seen countless times sadly and unfortunately is that we’re not immune from the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. So much of what comes out of the Middle East could come into the homeland.

As always, we can’t stress enough that you remain aware of what’s happening around the world, and support us in our efforts to defend Israel, persecuted Christians, and other religious minorities facing violence and death. Through our international affiliate, the European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ), which has consultative status at the United Nations, we will continue to closely monitor any and all developments and be prepared to intervene with any possible legal action if necessary.

We were also joined by former Trump Administration Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to discuss France’s newly announced plans to recognize a Palestinian State. As Secretary Pompeo stated, “This is both unexplainable and immoral.”
