Newsom SPIRALS: “Congress Is Dead”

Governor Gavin Newsom just proclaimed on X, “Congress is dead. MAGA has a king. Republicans killed the Constitution. If we don’t win in November, democracy in America is over.” 

Well, that’s it, America. Order a big floral arrangement to prop beside the casket. Gavin Newsom has declared that Congress is dead. And it must be so.

This is clearly Gavin Newsom taking center stage, just clawing for that Oscar, making a dramatic political statement out of what should really be considered disinformation at best.

Now following the chain of communication leading to Newsom’s statement requires mental gymnastics. He was commenting on a post on X from Leftist darling social media personality Aaron Rupar, who posted a clipped video featuring Senator John Cornyn (TX) commenting on President Trump.

Essentially, there was a big scuffle last week where they canceled the vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee on acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s nomination over the “anti-weaponization” fund. Sen. Cornyn and Senator Thom Tillis (NC) did not want to move forward with the nomination unless they got assurances that the “anti-weaponization” reimbursement fund would not go into effect.

But in the clip, Senator Cornyn was asked if President Trump’s continued pushing of the fund despite protests within the GOP concerned him.

Cornyn responded:

Well, there’s nothing we could do to rein in the President when he said he likes the fund and he wishes it still exists. But the fact of the matter [is] it’s dead, and that’s all we could do under these circumstances.

Clearly Cornyn was speaking hyperbolically here when he said there’s no way to rein the President in. The reality is that in a sense, they did rein in the President because he’s not going to get the fund.

But that didn’t stop Newsom from taking the ball and running with it for a viral soundbite. They can’t rein Trump in. He’s running wild, doing anything he wants. No specifics. No context.

Last time I checked, democracy is still alive, but I agree its survival is never guaranteed – especially as establishment Democrats keep getting knocked out by candidates backed by the radical Democrat Socialists of America (DSA), who we told you have unabashedly admitted they want to dismantle our system of government. You know, the ones Newsom said he doesn’t mind popping up in the party’s “big tent.” 

Special Presidential Envoy Ric Grenell joined the broadcast to react to Newsom’s fatalistic declaration:

This guy is living in one weird world because he has a supermajority and he controls literally everything that happens in California, and then somehow, he’s upset that there’s a situation in the federal government where swing states voted for Republicans and we squeaked out a win. And now we’re in control of the federal government.

He’s been in control of Sacramento for decades. This guy is a complete fraud and a phony. I keep saying this, but I really hope that the Democrats nominate him because he will not work in a single swing state.
