Elon Musk will be easing back from his full DOGE responsibilities (now only working 1–2 days a week) to focus on his role as the CEO of Tesla amid dropping revenues. Will DOGE be as effective without Musk’s full-time leadership?

In an earnings call with his company, Musk asserted that beginning in May, his “time allocation to DOGE will drop significantly.” He also expressed that he doesn’t want DOGE’s progress to be undone: “I’ll have to continue doing it for I think the remainder of the President’s term just to make sure the waste and fraud that we stopped does not come roaring back, which it will do if it has the chance.”

Now as a special government employee, Musk was mandated by federal law to work only for a maximum of 130 days per calendar year. This special statute allows a private-sector employee to do work for the government without leaving their private employment.

And difficult circumstances have led to the early exit, most notably Tesla profits being down 71%. The company is reeling in the face of the far Left’s boycott of Tesla vehicles and by those who would buy a Tesla vehicle but are afraid of being bombed.

Regardless, America needs big dreamers like Elon Musk, who invent new products to strengthen American prosperity and innovation. For all his faults, Elon is a brilliant mind launching rockets into space and revolutionizing the automobile industry. Instead of condemning people like Musk, America needs more people like him to step up.

So what will happen to DOGE in the days ahead? Musk’s department has saved $160 billion in wasteful government spending thus far. We definitely don’t want DOGE to lose momentum. We’ve filed seven briefs in five federal courts to defend DOGE’s mission thus far, and we will continue to combat the far Left’s attempts to shut it down.

When Musk and his DOGE team had the sit-down interview with Brett Baier, we saw just how accomplished his colleagues are. Many are CEOs with diverse talents and levels of expertise, so DOGE will still be in good hands. However, it’s good that Musk will still be involved – albeit on a lesser scale – to ensure momentum continues.

We also have an update on our ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request regarding Biden’s U.S. Army labeling pro-life organizations and drivers with “Choose Life” license plates as “domestic terrorists.” We told you about the first round of records we received from the Army, which included the full slide deck used in the presentation. As we said: “The full presentation reinforces that Biden’s DOD was training soldiers to view pro-life organizations and citizens as equal to Islamic terrorists.”

The latest batch of documents we received reveals a shocking cover-up to deceive the American public, especially pro-lifers. The investigation report concluded that “Labelling the slide ‘Terrorist Groups’ was a mistake,” instead of recognizing that pro-lifers should never have been included in the “Terrorism Awareness” presentation in the first place.

This is far more egregious than simply stating that the title of one slide was a “mistake,” as the entire training was about terrorism. Further, the conclusion that the labeling of that slide was a “mistake” is unsupported by a shred of evidence in the investigation file. The attempt to brush this under the rug is glaring. Also included in the batch of documents are sworn testimonies of soldiers that further prove the cover-up.

In response to this Deep State cover-up, we are sending a letter today to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll, alerting them to the issue and asking that they take swift action to ensure that this outrageous targeting of pro-life advocates within the Department of Defense never happens again. Sign our petition to let your voice be heard too.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of Elon Musk moving to a part-time role with DOGE. ACLJ Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon reacted to Yale University finally taking action against a pro-Hamas group on its campus.
