Let Freedom Ring for our Military Chaplains

Today, our nations military chaplains those who provide comfort to our men and women on the front lines of freedom are facing censorship. Some in America are calling for military chaplains to mask their faith, to restrict their prayers to pray, but NOT in the name of Jesus. At the ACLJ, we wont stand by while the constitutional rights of our military heroes are being trampled. Were working alongside North Carolina Congressman Walter Jones to pass H.R. 268, crucial legislation protecting the constitutional rights of military chaplains to pray according to their faith, without restrictions or repercussions. Please read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by adding your name to our Petition to Protect Military Chaplains.

PETITION TO PROTECT MILITARY CHAPLAINS

TO:
President of the United States, Barack Obama
The United States Congress

From the Oval Office to the United States Congress, immediate action must be taken to protect military prayer and the constitutional rights of military chaplains. To censor the prayers of military chaplains in their crucial ministry to our servicemen and women is not only a disrespect of their faithful service to our country, its also a blatant breach of their constitutional rights the very freedoms they are fighting to protect. Unfortunately, today there are strong forces at work in our country which would advocate such restrictions.

It is imperative that you uphold the standard of freedom in the United States military. The government cannot dictate the content of prayer. Protect the constitutional rights of our military chaplains to pray according to their faith, and act swiftly to pass H.R. 268 to ensure that every military chaplain has the prerogative to pray according to the dictates of his own conscience.
