Hands Off the First Amendment

Key liberal senators – facing tough re-election fights in 2014 – are actually asking the Obama Administration to crack down on the free speech rights of conservatives.

That’s right. They’re openly, brazenly calling on the Obama Administration to engage in even more targeting of conservative groups.

This is a direct threat to our democracy, and it’s intolerable.

At the ACLJ, we’re taking action. We’re supporting legislation that defends free speech. Stand with us:

Congressional Liberals: Hands off the First Amendment

Dear Senators:

Your political careers are not more important than our First Amendment rights. Your responsibility is to protect our liberty, not to trample our rights to remain in office. Do your job and defend free speech.
