One school district in Houston, Texas, needs a lesson in the First Amendment. In a disconcerting display of discrimination, it crossed the line from teaching about religion to indoctrinating students in the tenets of Islam. Stand with the American Center for Law and Justice in opposition to this brazen, prejudicial public school action. Please read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by adding your name to our Letter of Protest.

Letter of Protest

To:
Friendswood Junior High School Principal
Friendswood School Board
Friendswood School District

As concerned citizens of the United States of America and strong proponents of First Amendment freedoms, we stand with ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow in protesting your recent display of religious discrimination. Out of respect for your students various beliefs and backgrounds, we strongly oppose your prejudicial instruction in Islamic relations by an organization whose leaders have been linked to terror groups. We firmly believe your school district crossed the constitutional line from teaching about religion to indoctrinating students in the tenets of Islam, and we demand, for the protection of First Amendment rights and the education of your students, that the Friendswood School District put an immediate end to this type of blatant discrimination.
