The Supreme Court will hear the enormously important Eighth Circuit case Gonzales v. Carhart on the partial-birth abortion ban. It's the first abortion case at the high court since Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's "swing vote" struck down a partial-birth abortion ban five years ago. Now, with a new Court lineup, we have a tremendous chance for victory. We could see the Supreme Court uphold, for the first time in nearly 20 years, a significant restriction on abortion. Pro-abortion groups are mounting a massive campaign. Please read the form carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by joining the Committee to Protect the Ban on Partial-Birth Abortion below.
Committee to Protect the Ban on
Partial-Birth Abortion
We, as members of the American Center for Law and Justice, are grateful the Supreme Court of the United States has agreed to hear the case regarding the ban on partial-birth abortion. We stand with the ACLJ, members of Congress, and the office of the Solicitor General in asking the Supreme Court to reverse the rulings of the lower courts and uphold the constitutionality of the national ban on partial-birth abortion.
We fully support the ban on partial-birth abortion. This barbaric practice, which brutally takes the life of a partially-born baby, is an abomination that should be outlawed in our country once and for all.
