StemExpress—the company that purchases aborted baby parts from Planned Parenthood—has just cut all ties with Planned Parenthood, the latest fallout in the dramatic impact of investigative journalists exposing Planned Parenthood’s absolute barbarity.

Following the release of undercover footage by investigative journalists with The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) exposing Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts, many entities began distancing themselves from the abortion giant.

As we reported, businesses like Coca Cola, Xerox and Ford—previously listed as corporate donors on Planned Parenthood’s website—released statements clarifying that they do not currently give corporately to Planned Parenthood (and in some cases never have).

Increasing numbers of states are ending the flow of state tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood.

Even proudly pro-choice politicians have been hesitant to stand behind the devious “business” practices of Planned Parenthood.

Now, it seems even Planned Parenthood’s partners in the sale of butchered babies are leaving them behind to clean up their own mess.

POLITICO reports:

StemExpress, one of the tissue companies that works with Planned Parenthood, is cutting its ties with the women’s health organization after a series of sting videos that have prompted congressional inquiries.

“We value our various partnerships but, due to the increased questions that have arisen over the past few weeks, we feel it prudent to terminate activities with Planned Parenthood,” the company said in a statement. “While we value our business relationship with Planned Parenthood, that work represents a small percentage of our overall business activity and we must focus our limited resources on resolving these inquiries.”

A former blood and tissue procurement technician for StemExpress was featured in the latest CMP video, where she claimed that Planned Parenthood sometimes sold baby parts from aborted babies without obtaining the mother’s consent.  Planned Parenthood is legally required to obtain the informed consent of the mother.

The move by StemExpress—one of Planned Parenthood’s closest business partners—to distance itself from Planned Parenthood signals that even those who support using the organs and other body parts from aborted babies recognize that something is not quite right and possibly even illegal with what Planned Parenthood is doing.

This is why we continue our work on Capitol Hill to defund Planned Parenthood and stop the flow of hundreds of millions of our tax dollars from subsidizing these horrifying practices.

Pro-life allies released a map this week (available here) showing all of the health care centers that could receive federal funding to provide women’s health care in place of Planned Parenthood if we succeed in defunding it.  The groups report that there are 20 comprehensive care clinics ready to step in to the gap to provide care in place of every 1 Planned Parenthood clinic.

Thanks to the brave work of the investigative journalists at CMP and other pro-life advocates, Planned Parenthood can no longer hide behind their lies that they are pro-women and essential to women’s healthcare in America.

When even their closet friends begin to abandon them, it is time for Washington to face the facts! Planned Parenthood is not necessary for women’s health in our nation. In fact, their work hurts women and kills children.

We continue our work to defend life. In federal court, we are legally representing one of the board members of The Center for Medical Progress, the group of investigative journalists exposing Planned Parenthood’s grotesque barbarity.

We must continue all our work to shine a light into the darkness and stand up for all life, no matter how small.
