Last night President Donald Trump resoundingly defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, winning both the Electoral College and the popular vote. He is the first Republican candidate to win the popular vote since 2004.

As you know, the ACLJ has been fighting the Biden-Harris Administration’s unconstitutional targeting of conservatives and Christians for the last four years. Whether it’s FBI whistleblowers being unjustly targeted, FBI agents being sent to spy inside of churches, or pro-life advocates having their rights violated, the ACLJ has been at the forefront. We have also been vigilant in holding the Administration accountable for the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and its lack of support for Israel.

The landslide last night was the American people saying they’d had enough of the destructive policies of the Biden-Harris Administration. It was a mandate for different policies and less trampling on constitutional rights.

We also can’t underestimate the impact of bringing new voices and nontraditional GOP voters into the fold. When we saw faces like Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, and RFK Jr. all joining forces, we shouldn’t have been shocked by the results. The GOP base is expanding, which will be interesting to gauge for future elections.

Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell expounded on the nontraditional GOP voters that showed up last night:

I did a lot of work with the Arabs and Muslims in Detroit, Dearborn, Michigan, literally the center of Democrats and Arabs for the last decade. They voted for President Trump. He won in Dearborn, Michigan. And when you think about why, it’s because people want peace. They don’t want wars, and Donald Trump proved that he knows how to deliver peace through the Abraham Accords [and] the Kosovo-Serbia negotiations for economic agreements.

It’s also undeniable that the far Left’s constant political prosecution of Trump turned away many voters. The far Left was still waging lawfare just weeks before the election, and it only worked against them. We are glad to have done our part at the ACLJ in fighting back against the far Left’s relentless election interference, such as when we defeated the Trump ballot ban at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also weighed in on last night’s election results:

[It was a] pretty clear message: Stop the madness of wokeness, close our southern border, create American sovereignty, support our allies and friends in ways that don’t draw the United States into endless wars, build an American economy on American energy. These were the messages that resonated with Latin Americans, Hispanics, African Americans. These are messages that resonate all across America. . . . We just want our kids to go to good schools, and we just want them to have the opportunity that our generation had. And [we heard] the mandate to go work to protect religious freedom around the world.

Last night was a referendum on the last four years, signifying that people are tired of far-Left radicalism, the constant demonization of everyday Americans as fascists and “garbage,” and endless lawfare.

The election is not over, though. Several House and Senate races have still not been called. We cannot allow shenanigans in how these votes are counted. Our election integrity efforts will be in full swing until every vote is counted.
