Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was caught on camera declaring, “We’re going to stop Trump.” This follows a New York Democrat primary in which Schumer’s allies were defeated by radical Left socialists.

As reported by the New York Post:

Democratic congressional leaders downplayed wins for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s handpicked challengers in primary races Tuesday, as moderates clamored for results to be a wake-up call for the party establishment.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) claimed the elections showed “a great united party,” and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) touted his “great working relationship” with Mamdani, while stressing there was still some “work to do” in easing tensions with congressional Democrats.

“We’re seeing tremendous energy from all different areas of our party. You’re seeing centrist energy in Virginia, Iowa, and NJ. Progressive energy in NYC,” Schumer told The Post. “We’re going to harness it all to win in November. Because all Democrats are united in the mission to take back the Senate and defeat Trump.”

Nonetheless, when asked by a journalist if he felt this was the same Democrat Party that elected him years ago, Schumer put his best foot forward, stating, “We have a great unified party, and we’re going to stop Trump.”

But we’re seeing real impact from the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA), which is using the Democrat Party to get their candidates nominated and elected, even over traditional, old-guard Democrats.

Three socialist candidates in New York just unseated long-term establishment candidates. They were able to wrestle the power away from their mainstream counterpart, including incumbents, to win a nomination in a seat that they will very likely win handily come the November midterms.

In fact, during an election night party for Claire Valdez, a picture of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries appeared onscreen, and the crowd reportedly booed and chanted “You’re next!”

That certainly doesn’t indicate a “great unified” Democrat party.

Even New York AG Letitia James accused Mamdami and the New York DSA of dividing the Democrat Party. Clearly, no matter what brave face Sen. Schumer attempts to present, there is division within the party, to say the least.

The socialists are coming for Democrats, whom they believe are still too moderate, whether it’s a district or a state that they represent. Establishment Democrats are becoming ineffective leaders and losing to this new, younger group that appeals to the really progressive districts.

The only thing that Senate candidates have is a much larger swath of voters than just a Left-leaning congressional district in New York City. Sen. Schumer gets to campaign in the whole state, which might prove to be his saving grace.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included more analysis of these victories for socialism in New York and the response from establishment Democrats. We were also joined by U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Ric Grenell to discuss the latest Iran news.
