PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Probably the End of the World”
Listen tothis article
In an eye-opening interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump warned about the existential threat of “monster” nuclear weapons “that can blow your heads off for miles and miles and miles.” He also criticized former President Joe Biden for claiming that climate change is the biggest threat to the world since nuclear weapons (stockpiled by the U.S., Russia, and China) could “end the world” at any time.
The far Left opines about theoretical threats that could happen, such as rising ocean levels or President Trump being a threat to democracy. Yet President Trump has a special ability to talk about crises affecting people today. The threat of nuclear weapons ties in with the current Ukraine war and the turmoil in the Middle East.
So what is the current state of nuclear weapons in the world? Putin has been conducting drills with tactical nuclear weapons, France is trying to create a nuclear umbrella for Europe, and China’s “nuclear arsenal likely exceeds 600 operational nuclear warheads” and is only growing. So when Trump talks about wanting to decrease the prevalence of nuclear weapons in the world, it undercuts the argument that he’s trying to jumpstart World War III.
ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy Ric Grenell elaborated further:
We have a President of the United States who is talking about peace deals, forging peace and rejecting war, and trying to control the outrageous nuclear arms race. And all of Washington, D.C., is mocking him . . . [and] is truly outing themselves as the place where peace doesn’t work for them and fewer nuclear weapons doesn’t work for them. They want an arms race. They want wars. . . . Why else would they be mocking the guy who literally had peace agreements breaking out, handed Joe Biden and the Democrats a peaceful Middle East and a peaceful Europe – only to be handed back wars? And then Donald Trump is saying, Can we just talk about peace? Can we talk about getting fewer nuclear weapons? Can we try to make the world a better place? And he’s mocked for it.
Sometimes we think about nuclear weapons being of the distant past, but the Cuban missile crisis was only 63 years ago and is the closest the world ever came to nuclear war. The reason is that it occurred in the U.S.’s backyard, just ninety miles south of Florida.
And now it’s almost the same in reverse for Russia, which is feeling threatened by growing nuclear threats close by. Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine triggered the escalation, but you can’t underestimate the impact of countries like France talking about moving nuclear-armed jets to Germany. Threats are getting closer and closer to home for Putin.
Amid this rising tension, President Trump is trying to deescalate the potential for another nuclear missile crisis. And we all pray that a nuclear Armageddon is prevented as chaos continues worldwide.
Here at home, the ACLJ is working hard to defend children from far-Left indoctrination and exposure to sexually explicit content in public schools. We recently filed three briefs in New York because of the pornographic content adorning the shelves of public school libraries.
Now I’m a free speech advocate, but when I read samples of the content we’re fighting against in these schools, it’s really disgusting. It’s insanely vulgar material that has no educational benefit. It definitely crosses a line and should never be exposed to children.
The radical teachers unions and school boards are arguing that the books should remain on the school library shelves. We are in court today fighting to defend the children’s innocence in New York.
We know that this vile content isn’t only in New York public schools. That’s why the ACLJ is filing in a massive Supreme Court case today to defend parents against an avalanche of dangerous content forced upon our children. The propaganda is woke, DEI-based, and even pornographic. In our Supreme Court filing, we argue that parents have an absolute right to opt their children out of woke indoctrination. It’s a parent’s sacred duty.
We can’t fight against the far Left’s attacks on school children by ourselves. Join our efforts by signing our petition: Stop Sexualizing and Indoctrinating Our Kids. Also, be sure to donate today to our Life & Liberty Drive. Gifts are doubled during this time and will fund our legal efforts.
