Major Trouble for Kamala in Key Swing State?
Listen tothis article
Vice President Kamala Harris finally granted her long-awaited first “interview” as she and running mate Tim Walz sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash. During the heavily edited 26-minute conversation, VP Harris tried to explain the constant flip-flopping on her policies regarding fracking, Bidenomics, the southern border, and President Biden’s health.
Amid her 2020 presidential campaign, Kamala famously promised to implement a federal ban on fracking if she were elected President. And now that she’s the nominee for President, Kamala has stated she will not ban fracking. When Bash pressed her on the flip-flop, Kamala claimed that though her position had changed, her “values have not changed.”
So what made Kamala change her mind about fracking? Bash asked if perhaps the Vice President had learned of some “policy or scientific data” that prompted the change in position. However, Kamala was incapable of explaining why she had shifted her position.
Her inability to voice convictions reeks of only saying whatever is popular at the time to get elected. Yes, people’s beliefs are allowed to evolve – but at least be able to explain why your position changed.
One thing became clear last night: The Harris-Walz campaign bosses will likely not allow their candidates to do interviews in the near future because they are still trying to gauge the political winds in the air. They want to find out what the American people want to hear right now so they can cater their message to voters.
If you work in the oil industry, I don’t see you likely taking a chance on a Harris presidency. Your livelihood could be in jeopardy. How do you know that the Vice President is telling the truth?
So it’s no surprise that popular pollster Nate Silver just announced that Kamala should be concerned about Pennsylvania, where Harris is starting to slip in the polls. Will the CNN interview hurt Harris even further in the Keystone State, where fracking is vital to the state’s economy?
Since Kamala apparently couldn’t handle the pressure of an interview by herself, she had Walz for support. One outrageous moment occurred when Walz attributed his repeated misrepresentation of his military record to the fact that his “grammar’s not always correct.”
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell reacted to Walz’s weak response:
Look, it was after a school shooting. [Walz] is trying to say that he understands what these weapons are like. He told a story that was a lie. He said, I’ve carried these weapons, and so I know that they need to be banned, or I know that they’re bad. He was equating a school shooting to the solutions in his mind that needed to happen in order to combat a school shooting, except the example that he gave was a totally made-up lie. He’s never carried these weapons, and so it’s not about anything other than his credibility and his lying.
Will Tim Walz’s pathetic attempt to cover up his well-documented lying work? We’ll find out in the days ahead.
Yesterday we told you about a new campaign we are launching to help save unborn babies.
We found out that Planned Parenthood has ripped off the bus design of the pro-life mobile medical units that our friends at Save the Storks build. Storks Buses are mobile medical units that provide pregnancy care to women and save the unborn. Planned Parenthood ripped off the design to build an abortion bus that we saw prominently displayed outside the DNC. The abortion bus sickenly carried out nearly 30 abortions.
The ACLJ wants to help provide a new Stork Bus – right where it is needed most – to help save babies and help women in need. But these buses are not cheap. They require medical equipment and staff.
We need to raise approximately $500,000 – to fund not only our litigation efforts but also our counter-campaign and to help sponsor a new Stork Bus. Donate today during our Life & Liberty Drive. Gifts are doubled until midnight tomorrow. Your donation will help fight back against the evil abortion industry.
