FBI Director Kash Patel Reveals Major Indictments Coming

“They spent twenty years building this diseased temple of corruption. It takes a little bit of time to defeat it and beat it down.”
Those were the words of FBI Director Kash Patel during an interview with John Solomon. Patel sat down with Solomon Wednesday on the Just the News podcast and revealed that upcoming indictments will feature prominent names and could cause chaos in Washington. Patel also warned that these imminent indictments are only the beginning, hinting at just how truly deep corruption has seeped into Washington’s legal system.
The FBI director had strong words for critics:
These indictments that you’ve seen and the ones that you’re going to see coming up in the near future are just the beginning . . . It takes a little bit of time to defeat it and beat it down. I’m not asking you to trust me – I’m asking you to look at the work the men and women of the FBI have done so far in these seven-eight months and just imagine what we’re going to do come the year end.
For years, we’ve watched corruption become normal. We’ve heard talk of accountability, only to see the powerful slip away untouched. Patel’s message sounds different. He isn’t making excuses or offering political spin. It’s reassuring to hear someone in power acknowledge the corruption and express an intention to actually root it out. It’s certainly a breath of fresh air.
In other news, President Trump announced that he was on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin this morning, writing: “I am speaking to President Putin now. The conversation is ongoing, a lengthy one, and I will report the contents, as will President Putin, at its conclusion. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs – and former U.S. Secretary of State – Mike Pompeo joined us on the broadcast. We asked Secretary Pompeo to speculate as to what President Trump and President Putin might have been chatting about, with the President having just brokered a historic peace deal in Gaza:
Remember, not that long ago, President Trump met with Putin in Anchorage, where Putin was unwilling to actually lay down his weapons and enter into a ceasefire to have negotiations about a fuller resolution of this.
Today, now, we've seen what President Trump did, right? He unleashed the Israelis. They moved into Gaza. They took a strike into Doha. The president conducted Operation Midnight Hammer…and I think Putin must surely see the statements that President Trump has made over the last weeks about additional American weaponry, Tomahawk in particular, but I'm sure other American power projection tools as well. And I'm sure this conversation and the tone is very different than the one that they had just a few weeks ago, increasing the probability of President Trump being able to deliver some form of relief for Ukraine and for Europe in this conflict.
We also asked Secretary Pompeo if he thought that Putin might try to call President Trump’s bluff about delivering weapons to Ukraine if he doesn’t agree to a ceasefire. He was quick to to answer, and expressed his confidence that Trump has the upper hand:
Donald Trump doesn't bluff. It may or may not be the case that in the end those weapons are delivered, but it's not a bluff. It is about demonstrating to Vladimir Putin that it is time to lay down the weapons and conduct a ceasefire. So, we'll see. The sequence of these calls is important. I think it was telling that he got on the phone with Putin before his meeting with Zelenskyy. He wants to know when he sees Zelenskyy tomorrow what the degrees of freedom are. He wants to know up to the minute exactly what Putin's view of this is. And then we should not forget for a second that over the last really 14 days, the Russians have engaged in attacks inside of Ukraine that have been bigger than any before. More missiles. More drones, more. Firepower against Ukrainian energy targets trying to shut down the Ukrainian electricity grid. So, Putin has also played a card, that is, he has demonstrated he can continue to reach into Ukraine. Each of those, I think, sets the conditions for President Trump to be more likely to be successful in getting to something that looks and feels like a ceasefire for the people of Ukraine.
Today’s Sekulow broadcast included more analysis regarding Kash Patel’s latest announcement and what it means for the Deep State. U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions, Ric Grenell, also joined us to discuss his work at the Kennedy Center.
