Far Left’s Dark Plan To Upend Future Elections
Listen tothis article
After sweeping midterm gains, the Left now has a pathway to effectively abolish the Electoral College. Participating Left-leaning states could enact the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. With enough states participating, it could decide the 2028 presidential election by the national popular vote.
As reported by Axios:
Democrats’ sweeping statehouse gains Tuesday have opened a path to effectively replacing the Electoral College with a national popular vote in time for the 2028 presidential election — without needing to amend the Constitution. . . .
The results could give Democrats the legislative power to fundamentally change how America picks its president, potentially ending the possibility of winning the White House while losing the national popular vote.
It appears that the dark plan of the far Left to upend future elections has been revealed. There’ve been murmurings about removing the Electoral College for years, especially after President Trump’s first term. And that’s why the ACLJ has been educating everyone, even children, on the importance of the Electoral College and why it was established.
Maybe you are in Minnesota or one of the so-called flyover states, and you’d like to be represented. You deserve to have an equal voice. That’s why the Electoral College was established. Without it, California and New York would pretty much control the country, just due to their population.
Now the far Left is talking about removing the effect of the Electoral College. This is an issue that we’ve seen bubbling up for years in the guise of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC). This is a compact among states where they’re agreeing that if they get enough electoral votes combined – 270 to win the presidency – they will no longer cast their electoral votes for whoever won their state.
For example, if you’re in Tennessee and they signed on to this, then all 11 of Tennessee’s electoral votes would go to whoever won the national popular vote. This is a backdoor way to bypass the established electoral system set up by our Founding Fathers.
This has been on the wish list of the Left for a long time, but especially since the 2000 election with George W. Bush and all the chaos that surrounded it. They have wanted to find a way around the Electoral College, knowing a popular vote would give traditionally blue states an unfair advantage.
And the mainstream media has consistently been complicit in the plan, trying to get it in people’s heads that the popular vote is what they should want. They make it sound like the Electoral College somehow makes an individual vote pointless, which is not true at all.
And here is why this matters today, just after this blue wave election. They already have 18 states and D.C. to make up 222 electoral votes. The far Left just won five more governorships and both houses of a state legislature that could get them a total of 61 more electoral votes – if those states join the compact, which would put them over the 270 vote line. Therefore, we’d no longer have the Electoral College in practice.
Today’s Sekulow broadcast included more in-depth discussion of the very real threat that the blue wave could pose to the Electoral College and our future elections. We were also joined by Oklahoma’s new Attorney General-elect John Echols, who shared his reaction to the midterms, including this new NPVIC threat to our fair election process.
