Antifa Leader SENTENCED to 100 Years

An antifa leader who was convicted of leading a group to attack an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, was just sentenced to 100 years.
As reported by the U.S. Department of Justice:
Today, the Justice Department announced that eight North Texas Antifa Cell operatives were sentenced for their roles in rioting, using weapons and explosives, providing material support to terrorists, obstruction, and the attempted murder of an Alvarado police officer at the Prairieland Detention Center on July 4, 2025. This is the first sentencing of defendants affiliated with Antifa following President Donald J. Trump’s executive order designating the group as a Domestic Terrorist Organization in September 2025.
Benjamin Hanil Song, who was convicted of the attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, was sentenced to 100 years in prison. Together, the Prairieland terrorists received a combined sentence of 450 years in prison. . . . “The sentences handed down today make clear that Antifa terrorists who attack law enforcement and federal facilities will face swift and uncompromising justice,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “Their violent extremism has no place in our country, and the Department of Justice will continue to aggressively investigate, disrupt, and prosecute those who threaten law enforcement officers or undermine the rule of law.”
“Today’s sentencings show the FBI remains committed to identifying, locating, and dismantling Antifa and its funding networks across the country,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “Acts of violence against our law enforcement partners will not be tolerated, and we continue our work to protect communities across the country from domestic terrorism.”
Yesterday we discussed the 455 DOJ indictments against individuals who were committing fraud against the United States and stealing taxpayers’ money. And, even then, we still saw numerous comments essentially saying, Yeah, but they’re just indictments, and nothing will happen. A nihilistic sentiment that I couldn’t disagree with more. It feels like we’re finally seeing the wheels of justice in motion.
And today we have actual prison sentences – considerable sentences at that – handed down against members of a Texas antifa cell. These were people who attacked an ICE detention facility and were charged with rioting, attempted murder, carrying explosives, etc. And this just happened last year, around July 4, in fact.
The leader of this cell received the longest sentence of 100 years in prison. Think about that. That’s not technically a life sentence, but it may as well be.
And when you add up the sentences of all the other individuals that were convicted in this attack, you’re talking about more than 450 years in prison collectively. And there are still more who had continuances, so their sentencing hasn’t even happened yet. But they will.
This was premeditated. This wasn’t a spontaneous protest. These people did reconnaissance, showed up dressed in all black, with over 50 firearms. They used fireworks as a tactic to draw out law enforcement for easy picking. One responding police officer was shot in the neck by the man who was sentenced to 100 years in prison. Thankfully, that officer survived.
This is a major victory for the rule of law and keeping American cities safe from dangerous criminals and violent mobs. But predictably, notorious member of “the Squad” Rep. Rashida Tlaib condemned the sentences, in support of the domestic terrorists and would-be murderers, accusing the Trump Administration of being a “fascist regime” for punishing the violent criminals.
According to Tlaib’s post on X:
These sentences are a travesty and totally unjustified, but that’s the point. Americans hate the fascist Trump regime, so the only way they can try to cling to power is brute force. NSPM-7 is a grave threat to all of us and more [expletive] “terrorism” charges like these are coming.
Tlaib’s absurd take aside, these sentences are a big win. And hopefully they send a message that it probably won’t end well for any other idealistic young antifa thugs in training.
We often say justice takes a while, but honestly this didn’t take that long at all. And when combined with yesterday’s indictments from the Justice Department, I can’t see how anyone could still say, Nothing’s going to happen. Things are happening. Criminals are finally being held accountable. We applaud it, and we also demand more.
Today’s Sekulow broadcast included more discussion of the sentencing of the antifa terrorists in Texas. We were also joined by ACLJ Senior Managing Counsel Christina Compagnone with an update on one of our religious liberty cases in Washington state, where a young Christian student was harassed by school officials and forced to violate her own faith.
