We are anxiously awaiting our colleague Tulsi Gabbard’s Senate confirmation as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). The vote could be as early as midnight tonight, but that’s not stopping the far Left’s attempts to derail President Trump’s Cabinet.

Senator Adam Schiff (CA) recently smeared Tulsi Gabbard on the Senate floor, claiming she is Putin’s “girl.” He also declared Tulsi to be a “walking five-alarm fire.” Let’s be honest: If a far-Left radical like Schiff thinks Tulsi is that dangerous, then she’s probably the right person for the job.

Schiff later appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show to tout similar claims about Tulsi:

She has echoed Kremlin talking points about the origin of the war against Ukraine. She’s pushed out Russian propaganda about U.S. biolabs in Ukraine, one of the pretexts that Russia wanted to use for its invasion, to the point where RT, Russia Today, this propaganda outfit, is praising her to the degree that advisers close to Putin refer to her as “our girl,” an interesting diminutive for someone who might be leading U.S. intelligence agencies.

This is someone who met with Bashar al-Assad, came back, had wonderful things to say about how he wanted to get across the impression that he wouldn’t engage in terrible things against his own people when our own intelligence agencies were saying he has gassed his own people – so hard to imagine someone more disqualified from running those agencies.

Ironically, just after accusing Tulsi of promoting Russian propaganda, Schiff, in the next breath, began referencing Russian media headlines (Russia Today). So which is it, Senator Schiff? Do we believe that Tulsi is the Russian agent or the Russian propaganda that you’re peddling?

Last night the Senate voted for cloture in a final tally of 52-46, which began a 30-hour clock to wrap up the debate about Tulsi’s confirmation. So assuming the Senate’s vote for Tulsi is tonight, she will need at least 51 votes in favor to be confirmed.

I’d like to remind you of Tulsi’s warning that many would spread lies about her character. Here’s what she said just over 10 days ago in her opening remarks at the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing:

You may hear lies and smears in this hearing that will challenge my loyalty to and my love for our country. Those who oppose my nomination imply that I am loyal to something or someone other than God, my own conscience, and the Constitution of the United States, accusing me of being Trump’s puppet, Putin’s puppet, Assad’s puppet, a guru’s puppet, Modi’s puppet, not recognizing the absurdity of simultaneously being the puppet of five different puppet masters. The same tactic was used against President Trump and failed. The American people elected President Trump with a decisive victory and mandate for change. The fact is what truly unsettles my political opponents is I refuse to be their puppet.

As you can see, Tulsi’s very strong words predicted the outlandish attacks against her character. We will likely find out tonight if Tulsi is the next DNI. We are praying for Tulsi, and that the Senate heeds the American people’s mandate to confirm Trump’s Cabinet. In the meantime, sign our petition to join our efforts to get Tulsi confirmed.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of Senator Adam Schiff’s pathetic attempts to smear Tulsi Gabbard before her Senate confirmation vote. Also, we are excited that Ric Grenell, ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy, has been named the interim Executive Director of the Kennedy Center. He joined us to tell us more.
