Rep. Ilhan Omar Doubles Down on State of the Union Tantrum

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (MN-5) told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that she has no regrets about her sudden outburst during the State of the Union address, in which she couldn’t contain her venom when President Trump made one simple request of the gallery:

One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their Representatives really believe. So tonight, I’m inviting every legislator to join with my Administration and reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.

The camera immediately panned to Rep. Omar. Obviously, she didn’t stand up. Instead, she erupted like a volcano of rage, jabbing her finger at the President and yelling, “You killed Americans! You should be ashamed!” It was a full-on meltdown, complete with heckling alongside her Squad buddy Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), turning the chamber into a circus.

Tlaib later tweeted:

Can’t take two Muslimas talking back and correcting him so now he is crashing out.

Ma’am, sit down. (Oh wait, you never stood up.)

President Trump fired back, calling out the radical Left who refused to stand for protecting citizens over illegals. He’s not wrong – such a position is absolutely unhinged.

Isn’t that a shame? You should be ashamed of yourself not standing up. You should be ashamed of yourself. That is why I’m also asking you to end deadly sanctuary cities that protect the criminals and enact serious penalties for public officials who block the removal of criminal aliens. In many cases, drug lords, murderers all over our country. They’re blocking the removal of these people out of our country. And you should be ashamed of yourself.

But let’s not kid ourselves – this wasn’t some isolated tantrum. Omar has broadcast her disdain for America like a broken record for years. Remember when she dismissed the horrors of 9/11 as “some people did something”? That casual brush-off regarding the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil screamed volumes about her priorities. Or what about her relentless attacks on Israel, America’s closest ally, laced with tropes that got her booted from a congressional committee? She’s also accused the U.S. of “unthinkable atrocities” in foreign policy, painting our nation as the villain while cozying up to regimes that actually sponsor terror.

And don’t get me started on her immigration rants. Omar, a Somali refugee who became a U.S. citizen, openly undermines the very system that gave her a platform. She pushes for open borders, defunding ICE, and sanctuary policies that shield criminals. In her world, America isn’t the land of opportunity; it’s a racist empire that deserves to be torn down. During her State of the Union tantrum, she didn’t just attack President Trump; she mocked the values that make this country great – law and order, sovereignty, and putting citizens first.

Why does Omar get away with it? Because the far Left’s echo chamber shields her with cries of “Islamophobia” every time she’s called out. But facts are facts: Omar’s words and actions drip with contempt for the nation she swore to serve.

If she despises this nation so much, why not lead by example and step down? America doesn’t need Representatives who root for its downfall.
