President Trump Orders Production of America’s Own Iron Dome Defensive System
Listen tothis article
President Donald Trump just signed an Executive order to start production of an “Iron Dome” missile shield (like the one in Israel) to protect the United States. According to Trump, “immediate” construction will begin in America for the missile defense system.
Israel is roughly the size of New Jersey, so many critics are wondering if it’s feasible to create a missile shield to protect the whole United States. However, with innovators like Elon Musk launching Americans into space, we might have the American ingenuity to create a defense system for the whole continental United States.
It wasn’t long ago that we had a Chinese spy balloon that traversed the entire U.S. for a week before we shot it down. And we had the drone panic in the final days of the Biden Administration. Americans didn’t feel safe at home.
Sekulow Executive Producer Will Haynes shared the need to improve U.S. national security:
One thing that has been lacking . . . is creating these capabilities to fight next-generation battles, and when you think about Russia, it has already used their hypersonic missiles within Ukraine. They’ve tested them – they know they work. That’s a big concern.. . . . It’s not like we don’t already have a missile defense system, but it needs to be updated, and the fact that we actually developed the technology with the Israelis to make their Iron Dome so effective and successful, now it’s time to use that partnership (what we helped develop for them) and bring it here, and not just copy it, but make it effective for the U.S.
Let’s be honest: Several of our foreign adversaries have ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles that could hit populated cities in the U.S. We must be proactive in protecting ourselves. If we can get a fully operating U.S. Iron Dome system, we will be much better protected from unexpected quick attacks, and Americans can have better peace of mind.
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell spoke about the Biden Administration’s lack of effort to protect America:
Why wasn’t this done over the last 4 years? What did we miss? Why did we dial back? I get stressed that the greatest country, the United States, spent four years of literally allowing ourselves to become weak, multiple wars, and an open border. . . . Imagine if we were sitting here watching Kamala Harris put together her Cabinet and watching them struggle – whether it’s the North Carolina disaster or the fires in Los Angeles or the border, Iron Dome, all of these issues would be tackled by Kamala Harris, someone we saw as totally weak.
As the last week has shown, President Trump is moving quickly to reverse the stagnation of the past four years. What more will he accomplish in the days ahead?
As you know, the ACLJ is launching a $500,000 counter-campaign and filed a lawsuit against the state of Massachusetts for its taxpayer-funded smear campaign against Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs). We are combating their lies by telling the truth about how these centers save women and the unborn.
We just had some movement in the case, and the ACLU has gotten involved. (You know you’re on the right side of an issue if the ACLU gets involved.) The notoriously liberal organization has filed an amicus brief on behalf of the state of Massachusetts, arguing that no discrimination against PRCs has taken place. They argue that the Supreme Court has encouraged state governments to use taxpayer funds to educate the public about PRCs.
The ACLU’s arguments are ridiculous. In no way does the Supreme Court want state governments to use taxpayer funds to spread lies about PRCs and drive them out of business. The ACLJ won’t stand for the ongoing attacks on our client. We will continue our lawsuit, and you can join our efforts by signing our petition.
Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of President Trump’s Executive order to build a U.S. Iron Dome missile system to protect America. ACLJ Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon explained how Israel and the U.S. work together militarily to protect each country’s interests.
