Iranian Troops On Ground in Crimea
Iranian troops are actually on the ground in Crimea, assisting Russian President Vladimir Putin’s savage attack on Ukraine.
Yesterday, National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that Iranian troops are "on the ground" in Crimea supporting Russia's attack on Ukraine's infrastructure, including attacks on their power grid.
As reported, the intent is to force a surrender before winter arrives and the Ukrainian people have no power to keep from freezing to death:
The White House said Thursday that Iranian troops are “directly engaged on the ground” in Crimea, supporting Russian drone attacks on Ukraine’s power stations and other key infrastructure, claiming it has troubling evidence of Tehran’s deepening role assisting Russia as it exacts suffering on Ukrainian civilians just as the cold weather sets in.
We know the drones that Russia has been using to attack Ukraine are also Iranian-made, and they are being referred to as “kamikaze drones,” referring to the World War II-era Japanese suicide pilots that would intentionally crash their planes into enemy targets for maximum casualties. These Iranian drones are essentially remote control piloted missiles.
And now we have official confirmation that Iran has sent soldiers to assist in the war effort as well. The last thing anyone wants to do is use the term “world war” again, but now we may be watching the rise of a new Axis of Evil.
Meanwhile, President Biden continues to try to negotiate a new Iran nuclear deal, which likely includes pallets of cash for Iran, which will ultimately be used to pay terrorists and build their own nuclear arsenal. And as I asked the audience, could this lead to Israel stepping in to assist Ukraine, now that Iran has teamed up with Russia? It certainly doesn’t help me sleep any better at night. And still, we await some sign of diplomacy from the Biden Administration to at least try to avoid the massive loss of life and the end of society as we know it. But as we told you, based on Biden’s last comments on the subject, he seemed to be resigned to letting it happen.
