The nation of Israel is once again in the crosshairs facing criticism for defending itself and protecting its people.
While inspecting ships to look for weapons bound for Gaza weapons to be used against Israel Israeli soldiers came under attack. They were clubbed, beaten, and stabbed by so-called activists. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel had no choice but to respond with force acting in self-defense.
Now theres a growing global drumbeat from the United Nations (U.N.), Europe, the Middle East to condemn Israel, to criticize a nation under assault ... a nation facing constant threats. Even the nation of Iran is threatening involvement, a move which would quickly escalate an already tense situation from bad to worse.
The ACLJ is mobilizing its United Nations and National Security teams to stand with Israel during this crisis. Help us send a powerful message to the White House and the U.N.: Israel is our friend a key ally; we MUST stand with them! Read the form below carefully and declare your membership with the ACLJ by adding your name to our Petition to Support Israels Right to Self-Defense.
PETITION TO SUPPORT
ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO SELF-DEFENSE
To:
The White House
The United Nations
As a firm supporter of Israel, I oppose any international demands for condemnation of Israels recent act of self-defense when inspecting ships bound for Gaza. Israeli soldiers came under attack. They responded with force. Criticizing a nation under assault is not in your best interest. Self-defense is not an international crime.
Israel has been a key friend and ally of the United States of America for years, and that relationship must be respected and maintained. I urge you to do whatever is necessary to protect and defend the nation of Israel, and stand with them as they have firmly stood with America to defend their nation from those seeking to destroy it. In the face of such international pressure, including escalating threats from the nation of Iran, it is imperative that any anti-Israel resolution coming before the President or the U.N. be vetoed immediately.
