Senator Ted Cruz (TX) joined Sekulow to react to Hamas’ horrific attack on Israel that has left more than 1,700 dead. Is President Biden’s weak foreign policy a reason for the new war in the Middle East?

Yesterday the Biden Administration put out a statement saying that 11 U.S. citizens are dead because of Hamas’ attack. The Administration believes some Americans are part of the 150 hostages who have been abducted.

While the Biden Administration has been slow in addressing the horrors in Israel, the ACLJ is working actively to support America’s ally. Yesterday, we sent a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Guterres demanding a proper response to the Hamas terrorist attack. The international community must hold Israel’s enemies accountable for the atrocities being committed.

Today, we are delivering a letter to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

The letter calls for Members of Congress, including Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-5), Rep. Cori Bush (MO-1), Rep. Rashida Talib (MI-13), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (NY-16), who are part of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which has said horrible things about Israel and made statements basically supporting Hamas, to be removed from key congressional committees.

How disgusting is it that key Members of Congress are part of the DSA that will host an anti-Israel rally in New York City this week? These Members must not be involved in key committees that will make foreign policy decisions regarding Israel in the days ahead.

Senator Cruz joined the show and expressed his outrage over the biggest mass murder of Jews in a single day since the Holocaust.

Cruz didn’t hold back in laying the blame for Hamas’ attack at the feet of President Biden. As evil as Hamas is, the terrorist group is merely a proxy for Iran. Hamas receives funding from Iran, which was accelerated after Biden sent billions of dollars to Iran:

It is infuriating because this entire assault was funded by money that was sent by the Biden Administration – by the American government. Since Joe Biden became President, he has released to Iran roughly $50 billion, and that money has gone directly to funding Hamas. Hamas is controlled by Iran. This act of war was directed by Iran. This act of war was planned by Iran, and this act of war was funded by the billions of dollars that Joe Biden and this Administration flooded into Iran, just like I and many others in Congress told them it would happen – that if he sent this money, it would be used for terrorism. We're seeing the horrific consequences of their actions.

Iran’s economy was in shambles when Biden took office. But because Biden aided Iran, the evil terrorist regime was able to reinvigorate its economy and power, leading to the funding of the terrorist attack against Israel. Could the U.S. also feel the brunt of Iran’s newfound cash surplus?

Sen. Cruz urged Israel’s allies to join her in eliminating Hamas from the world. Hamas will only continue to wreak more havoc unless it is eradicated.

Finally, Sen. Cruz commented on the news of the recent radical anti-Israel demonstration at Harvard.

Sadly, many of our elite universities have become incubators and petri dishes for rabid anti-Semitism, for hatred of Israel, and more and more on the far Left, anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel is normalized. Look at Harvard University this week in the face of these war crimes. 31 student groups at Harvard University put out a statement blaming these attacks on Israel, saying it’s Israel's fault. Apparently, Israel asked for its children to be raped and murdered. This is horrific. This is stupid. This is false. This is a lie, and this is evil. And sadly, our universities encourage this kind of radicalism.

This radical indoctrination by the Left must end. Instilling such dangerous ideology within the country’s future leaders will only lead to further harm to Israel and the U.S.

The ACLJ is working diligently to support Israel during these dark days. We will never waver in defending America’s ally. Show your support for Israel by signing our petition, and keep God’s chosen people in your prayers.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast also featured interviews with former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who addressed the hostage crisis in Gaza and possible Israeli war strategies, and with Senator Bill Hagerty (TN), who spoke of the massive intelligence failure that resulted in Hamas’ attack.
