The recent statements and comments from the White House do not instill confidence in this Administration for Americans.

For instance, when President Biden was asked if he planned to extend Title 42 (the measure that allows for border patrol to quickly send illegal migrants back to Mexico), he said:

No, what I am continuing is to hear from my – first of all, there’s going to be an appeal by the Justice Department. Because of a matter of principle, we want to be able to be in a position where if, in fact, it is strongly concluded by the scientists that we need Title 42 that we be able to do that. But there has been no decision on extending Title 42.

Clearly, the President was confusing the Title 42 issue with the ruling about no longer requiring masks on public transit – obviously, two very different issues. The White House then had to issue a statement to clarify what President Biden meant:

I want to clarify that, in comments at the conclusion of my remarks this morning, I was referring to the CDC’s mask mandate, and there is no Department of Justice action on Title 42.

Unfortunately, that is not where the problems ended. Vice President Kamala Harris, in a speech to space experts, said the following:

Space is exciting. It spurs our imaginations, and it forces us to ask big questions. Space – it affects us all, and it connects us all. There are so many opportunities in space for our country and for all of humanity – from science, to commerce, to national security.

Space professionals know this information already. Space has become extremely vital to our national security as it is being weaponized by other countries.

Now, even the Left is noticing the inconsistencies and shortcomings of this Administration. There have been bipartisan efforts brought forward to extend Title 42 in order to relieve some of our border patrol agents. Congressman Jim Jordan (OH-4) sent a letter to the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas. Today, he explained this effort:

There are a number of Democrats who are saying that they want to keep it. But I think it is important to understand it is already a chaotic situation, whether we have Title 42 or not. But keeping Title 42 in place simply means that it goes from the current chaos to, it would get much worse if we got rid of it. I think it’s important to understand that this thing is already a record number of illegal crossings every single month. . . . So, some Democrats are saying that this doesn’t take away the problems that are already there. Let’s hope we can keep that in place and . . . keep a chaotic situation from becoming even more chaotic. I think the key takeaway for me is that this is deliberate. This Administration is deliberately putting in place policies that allow people to enter our country who are not being detained, and they are being released. That to me is a key question we need to get an answer to from Secretary Mayorkas next week – why are you doing this to fellow citizens, the people who pay your salary? Why are you doing this to our nation?

These record numbers are just the ones that we know about. Just recently, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was proud to announce that border patrol agents caught 23 terrorists that tried to cross the border. Those 23 terrorists are just the ones that were caught. If you have 200,000 illegal immigrants a month coming through, there are going to be bad actors who were never “encountered” by the federal government.

With the rhetoric that we are seeing out of this Administration, how can the American people trust this Administration to hold negotiations with Iran – the world’s lead sponsor of terrorism – to reenter the flawed Iran nuclear deal? ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs Mike Pompeo – who has a new article on ACLJ.org analyzing this – further explained on Sekulow the illogical thinking here:

If you provide resources . . . to their terror operation, that they will use this money mostly for terror. . . . We know that to be the case. . . . This poses so many threats to our friends and allies in Israel and . . . think about other countries and their desire to get a nuclear weapon so that they can have one too. If the Iranians get a nuclear weapon, it is bad for the United States as well. It will present risks to our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines all around the world, and to American security, even more broadly than that.
