Hunter’s Team Vowed to Put President Biden on the Stand?!

Another day, another shocking revelation in the Biden family saga. Hunter Biden’s defense team promised to put President Joe Biden on the witness stand to testify if prosecutors brought criminal charges against his son. Hunter’s lawyer at the time, Chris Clark, made this promise after news leaked that an indictment would be forthcoming.

Politico broke this stunning news:

Then [Chris Clark] issued a warning: If the Justice Department charged the president’s son, his lawyers would put the president on the witness stand.

“President Biden now unquestionably would be a fact witness for the defense in any criminal trial,” Clark wrote in a 32-page letter reviewed by POLITICO.

That letter, along with more than 300 pages of previously unreported emails and documents exchanged between Hunter Biden’s legal team and prosecutors, sheds new light on the fraught negotiations that nearly produced a broad plea deal. That deal would have resolved Biden’s most pressing legal issues — the gun purchase and his failure to pay taxes for several years — and it also could have helped insulate Biden from future prosecution by a Republican-led Justice Department.

In fact, if the original investigation had gone as initially planned, no criminal charges AT ALL would have been filed against Hunter. Not even a “sweetheart” plea deal – no charges at all. Of course, Hunter’s plea deal famously collapsed. He didn’t get the planned full immunity.

In fact, Hunter Biden’s legal case gained so much publicity that even the New York Times felt compelled to take a deep dive into Hunter’s collapsed plea deal. According to a Times exposé, Special Counsel David Weiss initially planned not to prosecute the President’s son for tax crimes. But IRS whistleblowers exposed the Justice Department for hindering the investigation, and Weiss changed his mind.

Republicans believe that the IRS whistleblowers’ testimony changed the strategy for the plea deal, and Hunter’s lawyers now say the DOJ should prosecute the whistleblowers for their testimony. We applaud the IRS whistleblowers for shedding light on the DOJ’s corruption. Hunter Biden would have gotten off scot-free if not for these heroes, and the American people would never have been the wiser.

We also celebrate a recent victory for life, where the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals prohibited the expansion of the abortion pill. The dangers to women’s health from the abortion pill, mifepristone, are well-documented, and the Biden Administration began dispensing the pill by mail – the ACLJ filed four amicus briefs fighting this illegal distribution by mail. But this case is likely quickly destined for the Supreme Court where we will again fight to save countless unborn lives and protect women unaware of the pill’s potentially dangerous side effects.

ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy Ric Grenell joined Sekulow to discuss President Biden’s troubling $6 billion ransom payment to Iran in exchange for five hostages. The Biden Administration already gave $120 billion of American taxpayer money to Ukraine to fight Russia, and Grenell talked about the insanity of also releasing previously frozen funds money to Iran:

The Biden team is allowing the Iranian regime to get $6 billion – when we know the Iranians are working with the Russians. It’s literally us funding both sides of the conflict. And this only happens in Washington, D.C. . . . Well, the money was not being released under the Trump Administration, and the Biden team is allowing this money to go to Iran. This is a disaster; you’re funding terrorism.

Not only does giving Iran billions of dollars allow this terrorist regime to attack Israel, America, and Europe, but it also enables Iran to oppress its people and maintain its murderous power. Why on earth would Biden release money to such a dangerous adversary?
