IRS Whistleblower Claims Investigation Interference on Hunter Biden
An IRS whistleblower has come forward and made the claim that the Deep State IRS has been covering for Hunter Biden. The question is, does that qualify as election interference? Sure seems like it.
As reported:
An IRS whistleblower has informed Congress that he wants to come forward to reveal a cover-up in the tax evasion investigation focused on first son Hunter Biden, according to a letter obtained by The Post.
A lawyer for the official told a group of congressional committee leaders Wednesday that he wants to expose “preferential treatment” and false testimony to Congress by a “senior political appointee.”
The lawyer for the whistleblower, who is described as a “career IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent who has been overseeing the ongoing and sensitive investigation of a high-profile, controversial subject,” sent a letter reporting their complaints to Congressional Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Finance and Judiciary committees and well as to the House Judiciary Committee. Clearly, this is an individual who would know when something improper is afoot.
John Solomon, founder of Just the News, spoke with the attorney and joined us on our Sekulow broadcast to share what he’s learned, including that the whistleblower’s credentials or even credibility don’t even matter because they have records to back up the claims:
Based on what I’ve learned and what’s already divulged to the Inspector General of the Justice Department, based on my sources, he is going to say that there were all sorts of political shenanigans that were trying to constrain the FBI and IRS from investigating certain angles. And then when the FBI, the IRS, and the tax division greenlighted the idea that they should bring a criminal indictment on tax charges against Hunter Biden, not one but two political appointees – one in one U.S. Attorney’s office, one in another U.S. Attorney’s office – declined to bring those charges over the recommendations of the investigators and the greenlighting of the tax division, which is unusual. If the tax division gives you a go-ahead, normally, as you know, that usually is a sign that charges are forthcoming. He has documents, he has contemporaneous memos, he attended many of the key meetings, and it sounds like he doesn’t like to see political inferences in a decision that should be made on the law.
It’s important to note the letter doesn’t specifically name Hunter Biden, but as Solomon also commented, it’s definitely referring to the President’s controversial son. And the letter implies criminal activity by some major Biden Cabinet figures. And the whistleblower claims he hasn’t even provided all the information he has because he’s waiting until he’s received official protective status so he can discuss without repercussions. But I imagine this news is making a lot of folks in D.C. more than a little bit nervous right now – as it should. It certainly feels like the net is drawing tighter.
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more discussion of what we know so far regarding the IRS protecting Hunter Biden from a criminal investigation, even though it may have improperly influenced the 2020 election. We are also joined by former Representative and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard to announce that she has joined the Sekulow broadcast team as our Senior Military and Political Analyst.
