So after U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi went on Jesse Watters’ show and hyped up the release of the Epstein files, the results were mostly a rehash of information that has been known for years. Honestly, I wasn’t that shocked that the Epstein files didn’t deliver as promised – I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true.

And then we witnessed the first true public conflict within different departments of the Trump Administration. Bondi was clearly very upset that she didn’t receive all the documents as requested and fired off a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, demanding the release of “thousands of pages” related to Epstein:

Before you came into office, I requested the full and complete files related to Jeffrey Epstein. In response to this request, I received approximately 200 pages of documents, which consisted primarily of flight logs, Epstein’s list of contacts, and a list of victims’ names and phone numbers.

I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents. Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein. Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files. When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information.

By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28, the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained. There will be no withholdings or limitations to my or your access.

Bondi didn’t like that she looked like FBI Director James Comey in making promises and underdelivering, so she’s making sure people know the lack of information wasn’t her fault (or Patel’s). But let’s be honest: The Deep State was using its typical tactics to cause a delay.

As of our broadcast going live at 12 p.m. EST,  we still haven’t received notification if Bondi’s deadline has been met. However, as I pointed out yesterday, releasing the Epstein files is a huge opportunity for the Trump Administration to expose the Deep State and restore the public’s trust in the Department of Justice.

Yes, the details of Epstein’s conviction and death are salacious, but that’s not why American people deserve to know facts. High-profile politicians, celebrities, and billionaires could be implicated in connection to Epstein’s evil human trafficking operation. And for years, the names of all other potential criminals were protected, and only Epstein and his co-defendant, Ghislaine Maxwell, were convicted.

Assuming that the FBI fulfills its obligation and turns over all the Epstein files, it could take months to go through thousands of pages of documents. Who knows what we will find out? But the work must be done.

At the end of the day, the American people deserve to know who was involved in Epstein’s sex ring and why the truth was hidden. It’s part of the mandate given to the Trump Administration. Guilty people must be held accountable for their heinous crimes.

I’m not saying that we need to know every national security secret, but the Deep State must be fully purged from the DOJ. Unfortunately, this FBI is still made in the likeness of James Comey and Christopher Wray. President Trump’s election didn’t change that fact. We look forward to Patel restoring an agency that was once held in high esteem by all Americans.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of AG Bondi’s letter to FBI Director Kash Patel stating that all Epstein files should be released.
