Give Thanks for the Greatest Gift Ever on Christmas, and Step Boldly Into the New Year

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~ Isaiah 9:6
Just like that, another Christmas is upon us.
It truly is the most wonderful time of year – the time many of us gather with loved ones, exchange gifts, and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And it’s a time to look forward to the New Year with great hope and gratitude.
Here at the ACLJ, it’s also a time for us to stop and give thanks for the many legal victories we’ve achieved thanks to the goodness of almighty God and the support of our faithful ACLJ Members and ACLJ Champions.
On Christmas morning in Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago, God’s only begotten Son was born. Following the star, wise men later traveled from afar to bear witness to the birth of our Lord and honor Him with valuable gifts. Yet the greatest gift of all was Christ’s very birth.
That first Christmas, our world received the gifts of peace that surpasses all understanding and eternal life through the promise of salvation. This Christmas I encourage you to take stock of God’s blessings and look to the New Year with that same peace and hope.
I realize that just flipping on the news for 30 seconds could make that a difficult ask.
Even now with Christmas just around the corner, the ACLJ continues working tirelessly to defend our constitutional republic and your freedoms – from brazen attacks on the Christian faith, including Deep State agencies targeting Christians and pro-life Americans and unconscionable bureaucratic attacks on Christmas displays, to our ongoing mission to protect the unborn, lifesaving pro-life medical workers, and Pregnancy Resource Centers.
But we dare to look forward to 2025 with courageous hope. We’re acutely aware that the New Year inevitably brings new challenges and new legal battles. The radical Left has shown no sign of ceasing its attacks on faith and freedom, even without the aid of the Oval Office. There is still Deep State corruption to be ferreted out and exposed.
But as the verse said, “[T]he government will be upon His shoulder.” This is why the ACLJ is stepping forward boldly, redoubling our commitment to defend our Constitution, expose the Deep State, protect religious liberty and persecuted Christians both here and around the world, and save precious unborn babies – just as one innocent baby came to save us all.
Because of the steadfast support of ACLJ Members like you, the ACLJ will be ready for the New Year.
On behalf of my family and the entire ACLJ team, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
