Israeli Civilians Target of Terrorists

By Matthew Clark1353357640000

One thing that is often lost as hundreds upon hundreds of terrorist rockets reign down on Israel is the real life effect they are having. They are not just rockets. They have targets, and those targets are almost always Israeli civilians.

What does it look like to constantly live in fear of your terrorist neighbor firing deadly rockets at you and your family? One Israeli family told their horrific story to YNetNews.com. Their daughter was injured by a terrorist rocket attack as they were riding in their car.

"[W]e stopped our car on the side of the road, got out and bent down as told. I protected my daughter with my body. We followed Home Front Command orders. . . . There was one explosion when we bent down and after hearing it, we stood back up", said the mother.

"We stayed put," said the father, "but then there was another boom and I felt it very close. We also had our neighbor in the car and saw him in pretty bad condition on the floor. He asked me to help stop the bleeding from his head."

The father said that he called the emergency hotline. "I saw an ambulance in front of me and signaled it to come our way. They took me, my wife and daughter to the hospital." Asked about living under the constant threat of rockets, the father said, "You can't live in fear. If we live in fear, terror has achieved its goals," he said.

This is the stark reality of living under the constant threat of terrorist rocket attacks. Israeli civilians are not the unintended byproducts of conflict. They are the intended targets of their terrorist neighbors.

This family, who immigrated to Israel from the U.S. and England, is just one example of what Israelis face on a daily basis. There are literally hundreds of other stories like this to be told.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reports that over 877 rockets have been fired into Israel by Palestinian terrorists in the last week.

Below is an updated counter provided by the IDF of the number of rockets that have actually struck Israel.

While many of these terrorist rockets have been successfully shot down by Israel’s Iron Dome, the hundreds that have actually struck Israel in the last few days are causing significant death and destruction to the people of Israel. These terrorists are not only targeting Israeli civilians but they are using Palestinian children for cover.

We must not stand idly by as these same terrorists seek to circumvent international law and the Middle East peace process at the United Nations. Sign the petition to stop the creation of a terrorist state.

Victory: Anti-Israel Attack Thwarted

By Carly F. Gammill1429047880259

The Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (“BDS”) Movement, which in effect is a form of political and economic warfare, demands disparate treatment of Israeli institutions and their representatives. As benign as “BDS” might sound, it is nothing less than a coordinated form of invidious...
