School District Forces Christian Girl To Violate Her Faith

STATUS:
Ongoing
A young Christian girl has now faced three separate violations of her religious rights – all from the same school district. After she quietly asked to leave a mandatory assembly that conflicted with her faith, a teacher told her directly: "You have no choice." She was forced back inside, where she sat on the bleachers in tears. The ACLJ has intervened on her behalf before – twice. Previously, school officials had searched her backpack for Bible "contraband" and scolded her for talking about Jesus.
We have now sent a legal demand letter requiring immediate corrective action, mandatory advance notice before sensitive assemblies, and staff training ensuring "no choice" is never an acceptable response to a child's sincere religious objection.
