Will President Trump Face Criminal Charges? – The Left's Latest Distraction
The constant barrage continues against former President Trump. Now we have the news that a grand jury in New York might be bringing a criminal indictment against Trump. If that happens, then Trump would become the first former President in U.S. history to be indicted.
An offer was just made for Trump to testify before a Manhattan grand jury in a matter related to an NDA. Fox News is reporting:
According to the New York Times, the Manhattan district attorney's office communicated the offer to Trump's lawyers. . . .
In New York, the chance to appear before a grand jury strongly signals an incoming indictment. This would mark the first time a former American president was criminally indicted.
From a legal perspective, this could lead to an indictment, but a conviction is highly unlikely. But let's be honest: The radical Left's dream is to see Trump arrested and put on trial – regardless of whether a conviction is even possible. This is a matter we will continue to follow.
Unfortunately, the Left is completely focused on this rather than on holding the current leadership accountable for Biden’s weak economy. Inflation continues to be a major issue for most Americans as they struggle to pay for basic goods and services. Yet, if they can keep the people's focus on Trump, then they won't have time to complain about spending half their monthly food budget on a carton of eggs.
In fact, Biden’s newly released budget shows that he plans to raise taxes on the American people right as they are struggling the most. Of course, this will mean less money for the middle class because companies and small businesses won't be able to afford to pay employees as much or hire new workers.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave these thoughts on the proposed tax increases:
What President Biden is proposing to do is spend an additional $6 or $8 trillion, depending on how you count it. In spite of the fact that he’s going to try to take more money from every family, he says he doesn't want to tax families making under $400,000. But if you're working for a small business that makes a million bucks a year, this is going to impact you because your employer is going to have to make a really hard decision about whether to keep you at the company or to change the nature of what they're doing.
Pompeo fears Americans will face even harder days ahead if the Biden tax increases are allowed to go into effect. We hope the new House of Representatives will keep Biden's tax ambitions in check.
Another focus the Left wants you to ignore is its continual attack on the Second Amendment. Now they are refusing to allow houses of worship to protect themselves. For example, in New York City, Jewish synagogues have seen an uptick in violence in recent years, yet New York wants to strip houses of worship of the ability to defend themselves.
The government should care more about law-abiding citizens having the right to protect their wives and kids rather than their endless crusade to get rid of the Second Amendment. The Founding Fathers intentionally put the right to bear arms into the Constitution, and we must protect the right to protect ourselves. The idea that a church or synagogue would be specifically prohibited from allowing their congregants to protect themselves is abhorrent and violates the First and Second Amendments.
