The “Great Uniter” Biden Labels Trump Supporters Semi-Fascists

President Joe Biden appeared at a Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser in Maryland this past Friday and let loose on the entire conservative movement, calling us “semi-fascists.”

With reporters present, President Biden declared to his donor base:

It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the, I’m going to say something, it’s like semi-fascism.

That’s right. According to President Biden, the would-be “great uniter” of America, 74 million U.S. voters are essentially just a hair better than a Nazi. And by the way, he had a chance to walk his words back when he was approached by a reporter after the event to clarify what he’d meant by “semi-fascism;” Biden snapped: “You know what I meant.”

Oh, and not to be outdone, Biden’s White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Peirre doubled down on “semi-fascism” at a press conference:

I think he was pretty clear and he was very powerful last night. Look, what the President said last night was that when it comes to MAGA Republicans, when it comes to the extreme ultra wing of Republicans, they are attacking democracy. Right? They are attacking, taking away rights and freedoms.

Remember when Biden ran under the promise that he would unite the country, whether you voted for him or for President Trump? It seems like now, perhaps after his approval rating continues to plummet, President Biden is just trying to sound tougher, in the hopes he might garner a little support, or at least draw some sign of life from his base.

My dad, ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, pointed out the ironies in President Biden calling Trump supporters fascists while his Department of Justice just staged an unprecedented raid on a former President’s home, and by the time they quit dragging their feet and followed the proper procedures, including protecting the private, unrelated documents of a U.S. citizen, it was already too late.

What is a semi-fascist? Is that like Mussolini before Hitler rose to power, and then Mussolini became a full fascist instead of a semi-fascist? I mean, here’s the problem, it’s heavy duty political rhetoric at a time when the divisiveness of government entities is at an all time high. And I want to use this as a pivot point to say, you had a raid on the former President of the United States’ home in Florida, for documents. We talked about that on Friday’s broadcast. You have a judge that appoints a special master. Then you have the Department of Justice saying that’s great that you’re appointing a special master but we’re done with our review. Review is complete. It’s over, we’ve looked at all the documents.

My dad also pointed out that the speed with which attorneys for any individual or organization respond in these circumstances is crucial:

When you’re handling a case like this, and I have handled this case as most of you know. Not this particular one,  but one similar that went on for a number of years. The lawyers, and it may not just be the lawyers . . . , they’re not responding at the speed of relevant. They’re responding at the speed of irrelevant. And that’s why I am not shocked today that a special master is appointed, or at least the judge is leaning towards the appointment of a special master, but at the same time  the Department of Justice files a document that says we’re done with the review.

So let’s see, the Biden Administration marched armed agents into the home of a U.S. citizen – who also happens to be the former President – and confiscated boxes of private documents, including some protected by attorney-client privilege, which they have now rifled through completely. And the new leader and his party are waging a campaign to destroy the former leader, professionally if not otherwise. All of this, by the way, is behavior eerily reminiscent of certain jackbooted regimes of ill-repute throughout world history, but according to our President, it’s Trump supporters who are the fascists? Got it.

For a President to call upwards of 74 million U.S. citizens semi-fascists is a serious indictment and should raise many red flags. So much for being a President for all Americans.

Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more discussion about President Biden’s words, and clearly his true feelings, about nearly half the American electorate. We are also joined by ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Policy (and former U.S. Secretary of State under President Trump) Mike Pompeo who offered his unique analysis.
