Last night, President Joe Biden offered his second State of the Union address to the nation, and the world, but it’s fair to say it was a FAILED State of the Union. The President gave a lukewarm speech that did not address the true state of our nation right now. Not when it mysteriously omitted key issues that are keeping many Americans up at night.

As Fox News reported:

Biden’s speech focused on his administration’s economic plans, touting his signature infrastructure bill and job growth. He also claimed to want to restore unity and work with Congress in a bipartisan manner. However, Republicans took issue with several parts of his speech, most notably the claim that some Republicans aimed to cut Medicare and Social Security programs.

Hanging over Biden’s speech was the recent shooting down of a Chinese spy balloon a few days ago, which has further complicated the already-tense relationship between the U.S. and China.

According to experts, Biden made a good faith effort at promoting bipartisanship, but did not confront the China threat as aggressively as he should have. Many agreed that his speech was a test run for his expected 2024 presidential announcement, but felt sluggish and boring at points.

Biden blamed the Right for the crisis at the border, despite his two years of inaction, allowing that brushfire to grow into an inferno. Fentanyl is flooding our streets, putting everyone at risk. What is he doing about rising violent crime?

And, of course, how could we not talk about China’s spying, as the country, and the world, just watched a Chinese balloon with two city buses’ worth of surveillance equipment float overhead while the White House sat on its hands for days. Once again, the Biden Administration’s fear of upsetting China put American security at risk. By the time the military was granted permission to take it down, the balloon had already collected and transmitted who knows how much sensitive data back home to Communist China.

Senator Bill Hagerty (TN) joined us live on the broadcast and shared his reaction to the State of the Union, having been in the room and listening to the President’s weak address:

It was painful, I must say. This is just a continuation of the Joe Biden Presidency, which has been the greatest bait and switch in American politics. You know he ran as a moderate, hiding in his basement. What he’s done is he’s handed over his entire Administration and his presidency to a far-Left woke mob.  And what we see is just disinformation, you know, far-Left policies, and he tried to basically gaslight the American people last night with all types of misrepresentations. It was really, really hard to sit there and listen to him taking a victory lap on the economy that he’s done his very best to destroy. To mention fentanyl, and talk about the crisis, but not the fact that he’s made it far worse. You just think about time and time again Joe Biden stands there and misses it, and I’m sure compliant media is saying that he hit it out of the park, but I think the person who really hit it out of the park was Sarah Huckabee Sanders in her retort last night.

It’s scary when the sitting President of the United States stands in front of the world and talks about what a great job he’s doing while not addressing anything that matters to the overwhelming majority of Americans. President Biden continues to make the U.S. look weak in the eyes of the world, including our adversaries, who you can bet are taking notes. Whose balloon can we expect next?
