Standing Up for Life in NYC

It's a disturbing strategy.  The pro-abortion lobby - including Planned Parenthood and NARAL - are mobilizing.  They're engaged in a nationwide campaign.  Their target: pro-life pregnancy centers.  Their goal: put them out of business.
 
Pro-abortion groups are going from city to city across America doing everything they can to shut down pro-life pregnancy centers.  They pressure local lawmakers to force costly and burdensome requirements on pro-life centers - requirements that don't apply to pro-abortion centers.
 
That's exactly what's happening now in New York City where city council members are being pressured to enact local laws that penalize pro-life pregnancy centers.  We have a legal team in place - preparing to present vital testimony Tuesday before a key committee of the New York City Council.
 
The fact is - the regulation under consideration in New York violates the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.  The new requirements specifically target pro-life centers. This one-sided, pro-abortion effort is not only wrong, it's unconstitutional as well.  If necessary, we will take a legal action to stop this blatantly biased measure.

This challenge surfaces as we're battling Planned Parenthood (PP) in a massive multi-million dollar fraud lawsuit in California.  As you recall, we are representing a former employee of the PP Parenthood affiliate in Los Angeles, who is now a federal whistleblower.  We are in court now on this case where the allegation is very serious:  PP affiliates in California illegally marked up the supposed cost of various birth control drugs when seeking government reimbursement, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of overbilling at taxpayer expense.
