Flip flopping Joe Biden shows his spineless nature again, flippantly deciding after four decades of supporting the Hyde Amendment, that it suddenly has to go.

On today’s broadcast, we discussed Presidential candidate and former Obama VP Joe Biden’s answer to criticism from Planned Parenthood, NARAL, and fellow Democrats by changing his stance on the Hyde Amendment, a legislative provision he supported barring the use of federal funds to directly pay for abortion.

At a Democrat gala in Atlanta yesterday, Biden reversed his position on Hyde once again, saying:

“I have supported the Hyde Amendment like many, many others have . . . . But circumstances have changed. I can’t justify leaving millions of women without access to the care they need and the ability to exercise their constitutionally protected right. If I believe health care is a right, as I do, I can no longer support an amendment that makes that right dependent on someone’s ZIP code.”

We told you how, when pressed by an ACLU representative on Hyde, Biden stated “it can’t stay.” Then shortly after, his campaign scrambled and basically said “oh no, he misunderstood the question. Joe still supports the Hyde Amendment.”

Interestingly, in 1981 Biden voted for a constitutional amendment to allow individual states to overturn Roe v. Wade.

And shortly after we told you the Trump administration just canceled a contract, prohibiting using fetal tissue from elective abortions in medical research, we learned of something called the “Biden Amendment” which Biden himself authored, which prohibited U.S. funds from being used overseas for biomedical research related to abortion.

The Biden Amendment is very similar in fact to a decision issued by the Trump Administration that we discussed yesterday canceling one contract for research using aborted babies’ body parts and setting a new ethical review process to ensure that federal tax dollars do not fund this abhorrent practice.

As Thann pointed out, Biden’s acting like Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde on the Hyde Amendment, because we’re never sure which Joe Biden we’re going to get or what his stance on taxpayer funding for abortion really is.

I had to ask, if you were a Democrat, how could you trust Joe Biden on any issues? Biden has had more flip-flops than Jimmy Buffet.
