NBC deleted any reference to God from the Pledge of Allegiance during its live broadcast of the U.S. Open golf tournament.

The ACLJ is mounting a nationwide protest action, and NBC issued first one brief apology, then another. But we are calling on NBC to put a policy in place ensuring that the Pledge of Allegiance will be broadcast in its entirety from now on.

The whole Pledge of Allegiance — including the phrase “under God” — is worth defending, both in court and in the public arena. We are committed to this.
