As House Republicans anticipate the vote to repeal the controversial healthcare overhaul, a Washington, DC-based group says thousands of U.S. citizens support the repeal of ObamaCare.
The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), focusing on constitutional law, said Monday it has heard from more than 70,000 Americans who have signed on to a petition urging Congress to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Jordan Sekulow, attorney and director of policy at ACLJ, tells OneNewsNow that in light of last week's shooting in Tucson, Arizona, some may shy away from a vigorous debate. But he argues it is critical for lawmakers to push for full repeal.
"Even after this tragedy, after you're told to change your tone, after you're told that we shouldn't be taking the same aggressive approach to legislation, we're saying that's not true," says the attorney.
