New Year Brings New Challenges

As we begin a new year, I want to assure you that our commitment to protecting your religious and constitutional rights will remain front-and-center in 2010.

While the new year will bring many new challenges in both the courts and Congress, we are preparing for what may be ahead when Congress gets back to business in mid-January - specifically finalizing health care reform.

As you know, there are two very different versions of health care in both the Senate and the House.  There are significant pro-life protections in the House version which are not present in the Senate bill.

There's still work to be done and we will do all that we can to work to oppose using federal health care dollars to fund elective abortions.  And, we know that you continue to stand with us in that battle as we've seen nearly 200,000 supporters stand with us on this critical issue.

There will be many challenges ahead in 2010.  Health care - just one of many.  And, you can count on the ACLJ to stand up for your rights.
