The more we learn about H.R. 3962 - the House health care bill - the more troubling it becomes.

We've already examined the measure and found numerous problems with language and provisions concerning abortion and funding abortion.  You can read the specifics here.

Now, in addition to the concerns about abortion, we've also determined that H.R. 3962 does not adequately ensure that conscience rights for healthcare workers will be protected under state law.  That's right.  This House bill lacks adequate protection for pro-life medical professionals.

Over 45 states, including Guam and the Virgin Islands, have laws which protect healthcare workers from having to participate in abortion related procedures.

But H.R. 3962 fails to fully protect the conscience rights of healthcare workers. You can read our memorandum on this issue here.

The time to voice your concern about this health care legislation is now.  If you haven't done so already, please add your name to our petition and listen to our daily radio broadcast, Jay Sekulow Live! for the latest news and information on this important health care debate.
