I’m proud of our Sekulow broadcast colleague Tulsi Gabbard. She countered the far Left’s lies and smears amid her Senate confirmation hearing masterfully, proving she is ready to be the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). She couldn’t have handled any of the “gotcha” questions any better. She did a fantastic job.

I’ll be honest: This confirmation could still go either way, and I’m nervous for Tulsi. However, some positive movement seems to have come out last night. Her stellar confirmation performance might have won over much-needed GOP support from Senator John Cornyn (TX), who posted on X that he would support President Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks. He was one of the four GOP Senators on the panel whom many thought might not support Tulsi. The other three are Senators Susan Collins (ME), Todd Young (IN), and Jerry Moran (KS).

Cornyn was pretty tough on Tulsi while questioning her yesterday. To be clear, the Senator is a friend of the broadcast, but he is a moderate. Cornyn pressed Tulsi on whether she would supply President Trump with differences in opinion to avoid “groupthink.” He also grilled Tulsi about what’s needed to determine probable cause to obtain a warrant.

Based on the exchange, I was doubtful that he would support Tulsi’s nomination. However, Cornyn’s post last night is a big momentum shifter and could create a snowball effect to propel Tulsi’s nomination forward.

Vice President J.D. Vance also commented on the fight to confirm President Trump’s Cabinet. He told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that though it’s helpful to have some “freethinking” GOP Senators, the American people have given President Trump and Congress a mandate – and GOP Senators have a duty to heed it.

Vance bluntly stated:

The president has made his selections and the advice and consent power of the United States Senate should not be used to block people because you have one policy disagreement on one issue. . . You don’t get to make these decisions. President Trump gets to make these decisions, and he already has.

Vance is correct. The American people voiced their support for the Trump Administration’s agenda in the most recent election. And to implement that agenda fully, Trump’s Cabinet must be confirmed.

Now Vance’s interview with Hannity was taped yesterday morning while the hearings were underway, and it aired last night. I have to believe that Vance, a former Member of the Senate until just a few days ago, made it known to GOP colleagues like Cornyn that they would be wise to heed the American people’s mandate.

And don’t underestimate the power of the GOP Senators’ constituents calling and sending emails. In addition, thousands of you have signed the ACLJ petition to remind the Senate they have a mandate to confirm Trump’s Cabinet. Your voices are being heard and making a difference.

If you watched the confirmation hearing yesterday, then you know Tulsi handled it gracefully. We’re taking legal action to defend Tulsi against the Deep State after the TSA maliciously put her on a terror watchlist. And we’re mobilizing our Government Affairs Office on Capitol Hill, urging the Senate to confirm Tulsi Gabbard as DNI. Take action with us by signing our petition to confirm Tulsi.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of Senator John Cornyn signaling that he will support Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination. Tristan Leavitt, President of Empower Oversight, also joined to explain a brand-new lawsuit the ACLJ and Empower Oversight have filed on behalf of FBI whistleblower Marcus Allen.
