At President Biden’s behest, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to four-hour “pauses” in Israel’s incursion of Gaza for humanitarian aid – yet stressed no cease-fire until the hostages are released.

CBS News reports:

Israel has agreed to daily, four-hour humanitarian pauses in the fighting in northern Gaza, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby confirmed Thursday morning.

Kirby announced to reporters that the four-hour humanitarian pauses will be implemented in northern Gaza beginning Thursday. The Israelis have informed the U.S. there will be no military operations in those areas for the duration of the pauses, and the timing will be announced three hours before the pause begins each day, Kirby said.

An Israeli official also confirmed the four-hour daily pauses, saying the reprieves are meant to allow people to move to the south of Gaza and obtain food and medicine.

Kirby noted that these pauses come after “a lot of personal engagement by the President with the Prime Minister” as well as engagement by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, national security adviser Jake Sullivan, and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Let me make one point clear: This is not a cease-fire. It simply allows for a daily four-hour breather in certain parts of Gaza so those wishing to leave the region can get out safely and those needing food and medicine can get supplies.

This also enables many civilians to get away from Hamas and not be used as human shields. Nobody wants innocent people to be hurt while the IDF targets Hamas terrorists.

Let me emphasize yet again that in no way is this a sign of surrender or a cease-fire by Israel. We also don’t know how long these four-hour breaks in military action will last. It could be a few days or weeks, while the war against Hamas terrorists will likely last much longer.

Also, we have more updates about the ACLJ’s legal representation of the families of the hostages. By next week, we could potentially be representing 120 families, which is absolutely incredible. We are also working with international groups and coalitions to get the hostages home quickly. We plan to go to the U.N. soon to invoke their help.

We have a special article that shares personal stories about the families of the hostages. Their testimonies are devastating. Read their stories and share the article on your social media. We must get their stories out to as many people as possible.

Also, I will be on Hannity tonight with some of the families we are representing. Be sure to tune in tonight.

We are still celebrating our major victory in Minnesota, where the state Supreme Court threw out a 14th Amendment lawsuit against President Trump. We continue to represent the Republican Parties in eight different states. And we just filed an amicus brief in Michigan in a lawsuit where we represent seven states at once.

We won’t allow the far Left to use an absurd interpretation of the 14th Amendment to deny you the right to vote for the candidate of your choice. Read ACLJ Senior Counsel and Director of Policy Harry Hutchison’s explanation of why the Left’s arguments don’t hold water.

We can’t defend the families of the hostages or election integrity without your help. We are in the midst of the ACLJ’s Faith & Freedom Drive to raise funds to support our legal efforts. Donate today, and your gift will be doubled. Your gift will support our efforts to defend Israel and stop the far Left’s election interference.

Today’s Sekulow fully analyzed the implications of the Israeli Prime Minister’s announcement of four-hour breaks for humanitarian aid. We also gave updates on pending ACLJ litigation.
