Israel just took out four major Iranian intelligence officials in a precise airstrike. The four officials killed today were pivotal to planning terrorist attacks in Israel and beyond.

Fox News reports on Israel’s recent airstrike:

The Israeli military claimed to have obtained “aerial superiority” over Tehran on Monday, as airstrikes launched by the Jewish state killed four senior Iranian intelligence officials.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it has degraded Iranian air defenses and missile systems to the point that Israeli planes can now operate over Tehran without facing major threats. It said Israel now controls the skies from western Iran to Tehran.

According to the Israeli military, “precise intelligence” from the IDF allowed Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets to strike a structure in Tehran where several senior officials from Iranian intelligence were located. The strike eliminated Head of the Intelligence Organization Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Kazemi, his deputy Mohammad Hassan Mohaqiq, Head of the Quds Force Intelligence Directorate Mohsen Bakri, and his deputy Abu al-Fadl Nikouei, the IDF said Monday.

So it’s another big day for the Israeli Defense Forces as it continues to take out key targets in Iran.

However, as we’ve seen over the weekend, numerous Iranian hypersonic missiles continue to strike in Tel Aviv and Haifa, taking lives and causing major damage. The war is far from over.

The director of our ACLJ Jerusalem office, ACLJ Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon, is on the ground there. He gave us a firsthand update:

What’s it like to be here? It’s exhausting. There’s no way to get a night’s sleep because there are waves of sirens that go off. The way it works here – the warning system is fantastic. So there are multiple apps: the Home Front Command app; there’s a Red Alert app, and by the way, those are probably available everywhere in the world. I get those updates even when I’m out of this country. . . . And they tell you that you should be within 90 seconds of a shelter in Jerusalem. They’ll give you that warning in advance [they show] targeted areas. The sirens go off in your neighborhood, and they’re very calibrated. So I can be in my apartment and look out the window and see the interceptors overhead, a neighborhood or two over, and the siren will not have gone off in my neighborhood. . . . So that’s what’s been happening here.

We will continue to pray for Jeff’s safety right now and that this dangerous violence can come to a quick end.

Several members of our ACLJ legal team are in Geneva right now, where ACLJ Executive Director Jordan Sekulow just delivered a vital oral intervention to the U.N. Human Rights Council on behalf of suffering Christians in the Congo (DRC). We’ve been shining a light on the atrocities against Christians, such as the recent beheadings of 70 Christians.

However, the U.N. is keeping an eye on developments between Israel and Iran. Jordan joined us to speak about the anti-Israel sentiment in Geneva:

The second-to-last country that spoke before I did was the Islamic Republic of Iran. So while they’re in a full-scale aerial campaign, at least not a ground war, but aerial war with the State of Israel, [Iran] is making it very clear that they’re going to speak out and send their delegates and representatives into what is the most hostile body to Israel – and maybe second, the U.S. – inside this international body. . . .

Tomorrow is on Israel. We will be present here again, representing our position and the position of our donors and supporters. But just one seat down for me . . . was UNRWA. And remember, the U.S. under the Trump Administration has just decided in these last 60-odd days to stop funding these groups, and you realize the power that they have, the influence that they have. . . . There is this growing rift, and Europeans believe that there is this moment – especially the anti-Israel bloc inside Europe – to try and divide the pro-Israel sentiment inside the U.S.

Jordan is exactly right: Much of the world opposes Israel’s mission to defend itself. He will participate in high-level meetings at the U.N., advocating on behalf of Israel. In conjunction, the ACLJ also sent 59 legal demands to the U.N. Secretary-General, International Criminal Court Prosecutor, and world leaders in defense of Israel, and we are preparing our next legal arguments.

The ACLJ will continue defending Israel both at home and abroad. You can make a direct impact by donating to our legal defense of Israel. Additionally, please sign our petition to take a stand for Israel.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of Israel’s latest airstrike that killed four senior intelligence officials in Iran. Also, CBN’s Chris Mitchell joined us to discuss the Israel-Iran war.
