A bipartisan group of congressional members is now communicating with the State Department, asking for ramped up efforts for the release of a Christian from an Iranian prison who is an American citizen.

Saeed Abedini remains jailed in Iran, a country well-known for mistreating Christians. Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) tells OneNewsNow members of the U.S. Congress are now on the bandwagon, seeking help for the helpless prisoner.

"We have 84 members of Congress who have sent a letter to the new secretary of state, John Kerry, and now they're urging him to exhaust every possible option to secure Saeed Abedini's release," the attorney details. . . .
