The attorney representing Youcef Nadarkhani, the Iranian pastor facing a death sentence for refusing to recant his faith, says his client's case is being referred to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.
Khamenei is the final authority in Iran.
According to Agency France Presse, the move suggests the verdict could be delayed.
