The American Center for Law & Justice argued before the New York Supreme Court today that a historic building near the 9/11 site shouldn't be replaced by an Islamic mosque.

The ACLJ represents New York City firefighter and first responder Tim Brown, who survived the collapse of the two World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001 but lost nearly 100 of his friends.
 
Brett Joshpe is the New York-based attorney handling the lawsuit filed by the ACLJ. He says their client is upset that because of political correctness the Landmarks Commission deviated from its own procedures and succumbed to pressure from New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg when it chose to deny landmark status to the historic building that must be demolished for the project to move forward. . . .
