Tulsi Gabbard, the newly confirmed Director of National Intelligence, condemned CNN for arguing that Elon Musk and DOGE firing CIA agents could result in unemployed agents selling U.S. intel to China. If such former agents are willing to commit treason, then they don’t need to be employed by the CIA in the first place.

CNN based its article on CIA sources who are warning against the agency’s largest potential mass firing in 50 years. In an interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters, Tulsi blasted the agents willing to extort America:

They are exposing themselves, essentially, by making this indirect threat, using their propaganda arm through CNN that they’ve used over and over and over again to reveal their hand, that their loyalty is not at all to America. It is not to the American people or the Constitution – it is to themselves. And these are exactly the kind of people we need to root out, get rid of, so the patriots who do work in this area, who are committed to our core mission, can actually focus on that.

So you’re worried that former agents will sell state secrets? Well, Tulsi just affirmed that she made the right move because it’s in the best interest of America not to employ turncoats. If such agents are so easily willing to betray their country, then good riddance.

Imagine if your company were afraid to fire people because they could sell company secrets. That’s no way to operate a business. A smart boss proactively gets rid of potentially unethical employees. The same should be true with our intelligence community.

Watters also asked Tulsi about recently firing more than 100 intelligence officials who were abusing an NSA message board to engage in sexually explicit chats. The NSA message platform “Intelink” is to be professionally used for secure messages within the NSA. However, Gabbard stated that more than 100 agents “had participated in . . . an egregious violation of trust” and had openly engaged in “really, really, horrific behavior.

So pornographic conversations were taking place at work on the chat groups of arguably the most secretive server of the U.S. government. How could this possibly be considered appropriate? Gabbard was correct in booting these irresponsible employees.

And the government employees’ incompetence doesn’t stop with the NSA. The IRS announced that a contractor leaked more than 400,000 returns. The contractor, Charles Littlejohn, is already in prison for having leaked President Trump’s tax returns. However, it turns out that the IRS admitted in a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (OH) that Littlejohn leaked the private information of hundreds of thousands of citizens.

ACLJ Senior Counsel and Director of Policy Harry Hutchison reacted to the IRS leaks:

So the Deep State, arguably, is committed to deep hatred for the American people even though it has sworn allegiance to the United States and has promised to protect the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And so this revelation that Mr. Littlejohn has leaked private information should be set in direct contrast to the ballistic hectoring that we have received over the last several months from CNN and MSNBC because they have basically been foaming at the mouth about Elon Musk having access to confidential information. I am not going to tell our audience that Elon Musk is perfect, but he has an objective of helping the American people. Mr. Littlejohn and other leakers at the NSA – those individuals basically hate the United States.

Folks, today’s shocking revelations prove why America needs DOGE to continue slashing government waste and inefficiency. The ACLJ is defending DOGE’s mission in courts nationwide. We filed four briefs to stop the far Let’s attempts to block DOGE from finishing the job. We are willing to go to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.
