“This is an attempt to censor a censorship hearing.”

That’s how Robert F. Kennedy Jr. described today’s much-anticipated House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing.

And he certainly seems to be correct, as House Democrats have apparently already tried to censor their fellow Democrat and presidential candidate, RFK Jr., demanding that Kennedy be barred from testifying at the hearing, essentially attempting to, as he stated, censor the proceedings.

Perhaps the real reason certain Dems didn’t want RFK to speak is that this hearing also promises to shine a bright light on Biden and the Deep State's sordid past of using big tech censorship for political gain.

As reported:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. defended himself Thursday against accusations that he traffics in racist and hateful online conspiracy theories, testifying at a House hearing on government censorship despite requests from outside groups to disinvite the Democratic presidential candidate after his recent antisemitic remarks.

The Republican-led Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government is amplifying GOP claims that conservatives and others are being unfairly targeted by technology companies that routinely work with the government to try to stem the spread of disinformation online. In opening remarks, Kennedy invoked his famous family’s legacy in decrying the complaints of racism and antisemitism against him.

Ironically, while his fellow Democrats have turned on and attacked Kennedy, he has gained new popularity with conservatives for calling out the hypocrisy and corruption within his own party. Mind you, this is still a man who is extremely pro-abortion. But we will applaud anyone who has the courage to shine a light on government bias and the radical Left’s two-tiered system of justice.

Kennedy became the focus of the hearing after RFK Jr made controversial, and undeniably upsetting comments about COVID-19, stating: “COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.”

He has since said his comments were misunderstood and not meant to be racist or antisemitic. Nonetheless, Kennedy was called out onto the carpet at this morning’s congressional hearing for his words, with certain Dems doubling-down on their attacks against him and not even allowing him to answer their questions before launching more salvos. Even after Kennedy made his opening statements, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz moved to have him barred from any further testimony, which was shot down.

What may have been the most terrifying statement to come out of today’s proceedings, so far, was the moment that Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands) stated that: “Free speech is not an absolute.”

I’m sorry, what? Can someone get the Representative from the Virgin Islands copies of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights immediately?

RFK ended his opening statement by challenging the polarization in our government and our nation:

“I want to say something I think that’s more important, and it goes directly to what you talked about, ranking member, which is the need — this toxic polarization that is destroying our country today, and how do we deal with that?” he went on. “This kind of division is more dangerous for our country than any time since the American Civil War. And how do we deal with that?”

“Every Democrat on this committee believes that we need to end that polarization,” Kennedy said. “Do you think you can do that by censoring people? I’m telling you, you cannot.”

Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more analysis of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing and the attempts by the Left to bully and silence one of their own. We also discuss the news that the Biden Administration has decided to suspend U.S. funding to China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology – the one that most likely unleashed COVID-19 on the world. Nice of them to finally make this bold choice, three years later. The question is, why have we been funding them all this time?

The fact that we have been is simply disturbing and it certainly raises questions for many of us.
