NewsMax - IRS Faces Scrutiny Under Two Federal Laws, Law Center Says

The Tea Party-targeting scandal swirling around the Internal Revenue Service may be prosecuted under two strong federal laws, according to the American Center for Law and Justice.

"Right now we're looking at both the Federal Tort Claims Act, which enables individuals to bring forward crimes that are committed by the federal government,'' Jordan Sekulow, the group's executive director, told "The Steve Malzberg Show'' on Newsmax TV.

"Then there's also something the Supreme Court has allowed specifically targeted individuals — it's called a Bivens Action [for] when your constitutional rights have been violated and there's been some kind of crime against you by specific individuals.". . .
